I recently found that my friend who passed in 2019 has had his music removed from most streaming platforms. Some of his recordings are still preserved on soundcloud. I'm sharing this in hopes that some anons may listen to, enjoy and preserve his recordings. I first met him when I was living off grind in Alaska in 2014. I have many fond memories of his music and listening to him play his guitar and sing while we sat around a fire. If you would like to see what he made please check it out https://soundcloud.com/jason-esler

what
Who has the rights to his music? If you know, maybe you could try contacting them to get his music back on streaming.
>>130344676I really don't know anything about rights but I don't think he ever signed with anybody. I can only assume he did it all independently. What is the process like for getting an album uploaded to spotify etc?
>>130345035He probably uploaded his music to streaming platforms by paying some kind of digital music distributor. Those distributors will remove your music from all platforms if you stop paying for your subscription.
