Crate is a good example of this. Tube amps are warmer but that’s not necessarily better. They are nostalgic for people who were brought up with them. Solid state has also improved over the last few years. I generally prefer tube amps but the jazz chorus is a great example of how solid state has always been legitimate technology. It’s always more important what you do with it than anything else else.
