Then I listened to OP, Alkaline, Granite, Vore and all their older stuff and then I "got" it. You can't force Sleep Token to click on you. It's either there or it's not.

as i have grown older i have come to accept the idea of mixing pop and metal, but pop metal was at its best in the 80s with hair metal, im not a hair metal hater either, i accept its just stupid party music from the 80s, most people take it too seriously. All that being said, sleep token ranks from boring to a really bad attempt at pop metal, bad lyrics, generic metal riffs, mixed with whatever is trending on the charts like r&B or reggaton or something.in conclusion sleep token have earned their moniker of being metal for disney adults, imagine dragons of metal, etc.yeah, they sell alot, but they will never be critical darlings, and the whole thing just seems like a cynical ploy for the normie audience, not the metal audience
