i think he's going for a confusing, chaotic maximalist style, as exemplified by the cover art. the somewhat classic whitearmor cloud rap production is paired with black metal vocals, neofolk guitars, glitchy analog drums and contemporary trap influences. very difficult to wrap one's head around after just one listen or two. the lyrical content is also difficult to analyze, it has mythical qualities, pagan and nordic references, exaggerated trap braggadocio (blondie), silly day-to-day pop references (there is even a bane 4u quote). pair that to the absence of hooks and the record comes off as a mystifying collage of a plethora of ideas and sensations, colorful but dark, paradoxical, difficult to pin down; almost as if bladee used a big powerful magnet to attract all his musical and personal sensibilities to put them into a single album.
Bladee is so fucking ass, his production is still the same as +10 years ago and he still cant sing. Why is rap stagnating so hard?
