Jazz is dead. Rock is dead. Rap is dying. What's next for Western popular music? What will be the next sound of youth rebellion?
youth rebellion is anti semetic
>>130359203>semeticCould you at least try to spell correctly?
western classical music
>>130359171Nothing, the west is a dying. You need spirit in order to rebel against a lifeless entity, but the average westerner is as lifeless as their politicians. When you win it all, you nothing left to do but lose.

>>130359171Jazz is dead for a reason. Because it's fucking shit. Random notes without end. Meanwhile Sabaton sells out stadiums. Rock will NEVER die.

there'll be matrix-style virtual reality soon enough and maybe you'll be allowed to play being a rebel there
>>130359171Jazz wasn't newRock wasn't newRap wasn't new either.Young people just reconnected to old music, that's what they always did. If they hated pa they went to grandpa. If they hated both they went to classical and turned it into something new.I genuinely love Rick Beato. He convinces me to listen to music I hated all my life. Beatles, Pink Floyd, Lionel Richie, Sting. I hated the music because I hated the people listening to it.The next sound of youth rebellion is everywhere, but it isn't big names at big venues any more. Those days are over for now - but they'll come back.Techno will come back, Dave Clarke for instance. Folk music always comes back, La NiƱa https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXJOhA0x9Hw. These are small groups with a dedicated following.Jazz, rock and rap started small. By the time they got big they stopped being youth rebellion and became a genre everybody danced to. Best example: Nirvana mocked grannies in their vids and a year later you saw granny dancing to Nirvana on the dance floor.

Rock is less dead now than it was 10 years ago
>>130367999>i hated it because i hated the fansjuvenile mindset
>>130368154Cool right ?!
>>130359275that would be based but dont hold your fucking breath kek. the best you'll get are those classical/808 mashups in the vein of the succession opening theme
>>130362202>anything i don't understand is le heckin random!
Fantastic jazz albums released this year and last year. Great rock is frequently released. Don't give a shit about it being popular or not.
>>130362202Jazz being dead makes sense since it's far too artsy and complicated for most normgroids. Rock being dead makes less sense to me considering most of it is just plastic pop music with braindead harmonies and forms (notice how I said braindead and not simple, classical is the best for simple but beautiful melodies and whatnot), ultimately catering to mindless automatons that need autopilot jingles

>>130374646Each fan of a specific genre has a "golden age" prog, classic rock : 1970s metal/goth : 1980s Grunge/skate punk : 1990s Post-hardcore/emo/pop-punk : 1990s-2000s... Only a few genres were constantly in a "golden age" for a long time : pop, hip-hop... Now, it's the turn of EDM/House/Club/Electro...
