Load is alright. Bleeding Me and The Outlaw Torn are some of their best tracks. Until It Sleeps and Hero of the Day are also very solid.
Reload has some decent tracks but it's their worst album after Lulu. I prefer St. Anger to it.

Reload is completely worthless besides the singles

Imagine releasing 2 and a half hours of music and only 40 minutes out of it are decent

You could make a great 40 minute rock album from the two
Hot take, the more metal songs are weaker than the hard rock songs, midtempotallica just doesn't work for me for the most part

Death Magnetic is a good album, as is half of Hardwired. Over the years, I've grown to like most of St. Anger.
For a while, I thought Reload was their worst album. It has some good songs, such as Devil's Dance, Low Man's Lyrics, and Fixxer, but it's mostly filler. Then they released 72 Seasons, which is pretty much "Oops! All Filler: The Album."

Life long fan, and I've been in the trenches defending Load, ReLoad, even St Anger for a long time... But man, there's just something about Death Magnetic that makes it completely unlistenable to me. As much as I hate to say it, I think it's James's vocals, or the cadence of the lyrics more like. Every song has the same staccato, couplet-style rhyming scheme without an ounce of lyrical 'meaning' in the lot. Combined with nearly every song just sounding the same-ish with completely uninspired, guitar-by-numbers rhythm and solo... Yeah. It's just not a good album. I don't have a single Death Magnetic song on my personal playlist.
