>>130362568Is that one of his Derrig guitars or a Gibson?
bought a “player grade” jazzmaster thinking i was above cork sniffing and now im 3 months deep into reading forum posts from 2009 about pickup winding inconsistencies between factory shiftsfunniest part is the guitar sounds completely finebut now every time i bend the g string i can hear a faint ghost whispering “poly finish” into my earthis website has permanently damaged my ability to enjoy objects normally
“signal chain?”brother the signal chain is mental illness
every /gg/ recommendation just becomes one guy saying “just buy a pacifica” and another guy replying with a dissertation on why Japanese Fenders were better in 1996meanwhile op vanished 8 pages ago and bought a schecter
>>130362647Nah, it's the Baranet he sold for heroin in '85 that the Derrig replaced later on in '86Slash was a fucking idiot junkie during the 80's
>>130362687Ibanez
Where my Vox niggas at?
>suddenly GG is too good for pacificas
>>130362702Solid info thanks
>>130362752Revstar remains the better shape
>>130362724Yo. Brit Class A setting.
>>130362687There's people in the last thread that can't even read a paragraph. How does anything meaningful get discussed on this board anymore?
21 amps to pick from all freesuck it gear fags
>>130362762If Guns hadn't hit it big in '87 and started pulled in cash he would have probably sold the Derrig too by '88
>>130362820richest man in /gg/
>>130362820>windows update fucks your sims up>probably coming out of laptop speakers too
>>1303628451. Windows 10 is at end of support no more updates.2. I bought the $21 alibaba monitor speakers thanks.
>>130362820Virtual amps are cool and all but not a true replacement for physical gear, you'd understand this if you were a gigging musician Show us your process of playing a live gig with the virtual amps, otherwise this "gotcha" opinion is pretty worthless desu
>>130362873Nobody on /gg/ has been paid a single dollar for their guitar playingHell, nobody on /mu/ has been paid for music. We're all just hobbyists and larpers
>>130362873I take my tablet and interface with me and plug it into the PA just like an amp? Are you tech illiterate or something?
>>130362906>I need my heckin' tubes okay? Its imperative that the drunks in the crowd hear the tonal difference in my pentatonic wankery
>>130362933fair enough
>>130362901sam got paid once to play a gig. he's the closest thing to a professional guitarist as /gg/ has ever produced
>>130362906No I mean like show us you performing a gig AT ALL, and how you set it up with the virtual amps so we can compare the resulting sound to how people normally gig with gearI know it's possible but also how cumbersome it is because I've actually tried going that route for live gigs, and it's just way easier and less error prone with physical hardware which is why I am challenging that you formed this opinion while never having gigged live and therefore nobody should really take your opinion seriouslyAnd to guy saying nobody has ever gigged/made money with music here on /MU/, please stop telling on yourselves and just speak for yourselfI gig every week, if that makes me an outlier then I am starting to understand I don't belong here
>>130362901projection>>130362906and for your sound onstage? what will you do?
I successfully changed the strings on my guitar for the first time and now I don’t dread it, that being said I think I do prefer the sounds of Martin Lifespan 2.0 over Martin Retro, that being said I went down another gauge and bought Retro 10s and now it doesn’t hurt to use my pinky, so I think I’ll be able to make more progress. Also I don’t think I did a fantastic job with stringing but they work so that’s better than having to Amazon another fucking pack.
>>130362955>dox yourself for the schizo because I'm tech illiterate>trust me bro
>>130362963that being said that being said that being said
>>130362957Plug my headphones into the interface.Like you seem to have some sort of misunderstanding how this all works, its exactly like an amplifier with more inputs, everything your amp plugs into also works with the interface. The tablet headphones and interface is far smaller, this isn't even a subjective thing.
>>130362955Every week is probably a bit much, but a good chunk of people play live regularly. This angers the dude who has been here for years and stil cant play.
>>130362963They sound a bit tinny, but I think I just need to break them in first.
>>130362964>Hurr durr what is latency, you're just tech illiterate bro
i've performed with just my guitar and my zoom g1 four
>>130362974HAVING SAID THAT
I play live for /gg/ every night bro I don't need to make beer money for a hobby I have a real job where I make big boy bucks
>>130362978I thought/figured so, and don't I know it
>>130362978>but a good chunk of people play live regularlyProofs? I'm not calling you a liar or anything but do you have any evidence of this besides the word of known schizophrenics?
>>130362834What I heard was that Tom Zutaut gave him two identical Derrigs in amber burst so he could choose the one that he liked.
>>130362964Posting your set up is not a doxx, nobodys asking for your face
>>130362986There is exactly one point you can argue without sounding like a bumbling retard, that the tone isn't what you want. That's it, that's the only acceptable argument, latency is irrelevant at 3ms, compare to the speed of sound and realize how dumb you are.
>>130362752Rick Beato has a horse cock
I see that they now make $2200 pacificas wtf. They were the poorfag brand when I was growing up, like a squier for contrarians. Who the hell would buy that lmoa
>>1303630132200 is entry level
>>130363004Except it's never actually 3ms, it's 3ms on top of more latency
>>130363013They developed such a strong reputation that Yamaha decided to put out a high quality model made in japan.
>>130362997the nog with the 335 claims to play twice a week. photo of the club? his live setup? nah. and you never will see it either>>130362999lmaowelcome to /gg/you'll learn
>>130363020>>130363015Yeah I've never even played the midrange models they have now so I can't talk shit about them. The low end pacificas were really nothing special though about as good as a squier.
>>130363021He's a phony.
>>130363021He posted a photo of his set up at least
>>130363016with the heaviest post processing its 16ms which is about the delay you experience 16 feet from your speaker, irrelevant makes no difference at all. The dry signal the one you'd be hearing in the headphone is bypassed and is 0ms.
>>130363030People having nostalgia for the gear they started off on and then traded away I guess. Which means in the future that's going to be a big nostalgia market for Harley Benton and Glarry.
>>130363039No he didn't, he posted his bedroom. Stop lying, he's such a schizo that he's posted pics of his own face on 4chan, if he had a live rig there'd be multiple pics of it that everyone would have seen.
>>130363059its real in his head okay and thats good enough for me
I will that in terms of practicing and recording, physical gear is definitely now optional. Virtual amps have a come a LONG way and you can learn a lot without ever buying a physical amp which is honestly a very cool thing.
