I think it's a shame /mu/ isn't more into metal. When I discovered /mu/ in '09 it was exciting because IRL I had no one to talk to about the obscure indie, post-punk, and experimental music I was into, and those were the exact things /mu/ was into. I think in the 2000s the most interesting rock music was happening in indie. However, IMO by the late 2010s indie had gotten really wimpy and bland, and the culture shifted to where the most interesting rock music was in metal. It seems like /mu/ generally isn't that into metal, beyond a few NSBM bands.
