Thrash Metal, for me it’s my favourite genre. It’s basically perfect as far as I’m concerned. I love Hardcore Punk (particularly D-Beat, Street Punk, UK82, Finncore stuff like that) I also love traditional heavy metal, NWOBHM, early power metal, i basically grew up on that stuff because it’s what my Dad and uncle would play. When I discovered Slayer, reign in blood, than hell awaits I was completely hooked. Personally I prefer the heavier side of thrash, so stuff like Kreator-pleasure to kill, Rigor Mortis -Rigor Mortis, Sadus Illusions, Blood Feast kill for pleasure, Sacrifice-torment in fire, Incubus Serpent temptations, stuff like that.

>>130512616What kind of punk rock exactly? It's a very broad term. Thrash metal is a narrow genre influenced by hardcore punk. Like, early Metallica and Slayer records sound closer to hardcore punk than Sex Pistols records do. Hardcore punk band Drain is influenced by thrash metal in turn.
