can anyone recommend a y cable, 1/4 stereo to 2 male 1/4 mono, that isn't incredibly expensive or dog shit? I just want something to connect my zoom ms-70cdr+ to my valeton gp5 for stereo output when I use headphones.
https://youtu.be/Zxh-4zrm-S8?si=Besg7c_1TEL3_eRrThanks for saying that in the last thread. To that other guy, My Epiphone is a 1999 MIK that's been customized. I don't need a quad cortex or whatever, I have a BOSS GX100 On my board fofr any extra digital modulation needs, though mostly the volume pedal and tuner lol.
fuck it i know how to code and loopers are digital i can just make my own looper pedal that works exactly how i want it to
>>130658437you might like Supercollider.
Yo fags long time no see, is Sam still alive? Did he manage to fuck up his guitars any more than they were before?
>>130658449maybe. something as declarative as code might be an intuitive way to fine tune things like envelope that are tricky with UI based tools
Really liking this new neck and it feels good to finally enjoy playing my old #1 again. I got impatient sanding the sides of the nut so there’s slight overhang on either side of the neck and I need to file it down but other than that it’s perfectly set up and feels much better to me than the old thinner neck with jumbo frets. I’m thinking about sticking some Fralin Real 54 pickups in it to go even further into the faux 50s Strat thing but at the same time I don’t really need to upgrade pickups
>>130658457sam was splattered by a tuk-tuk when he took a blind turn on his 2 stroke
>>130658480if you are good at coding i recommend it highly. I'm not good at it but I really wish I was so I could program myself a better rhythm section
>>130658457when he finally ruined all his guitars he decided to customize his motorcycle instead which went about as well as you'd expect
>>130658505sound like exactly the motivation you should follow and learn to codeif you have an ulterior reason to code besides just wanting to know how to code you learn a lot faster
>>130658362>Want a desk amp>Katana mini is barebones>Katana mini x is battery powered>Spark mini is running spark's gen 1 DSP/CPU with lower quality models>Spark 2 isn't that good>Yamaha THR is barebones >Katana artist head is way overkill >Vox VTX15 is too bulkyI hate this so much, I want to give up and get a mustang 25lts and call it day, I've heard blackstar has a new mini amp with tone3000 capability... but that too is battery powered. REEEEEEEEEEEE
>>130658776What's the problem with battery-powered?
>>130658776>Yamaha THR is barebonesWhat are you talking about?
>>130658776Just buy studio monitors and a good interface.
Is this guy smoking crack?>>130658858It won't be a problem for a year or two but rechargeable batteries get annoying capacity degradation and I don't feel like breaking into a small-form factor amp at the risk of breaking off chunks of casing to do a batt swap, if I could in the first place.>>130658889I know there's a tone studio but next to even a spark mini or a boss katana gen III there's practically nothing, based on the reviews and software dives I've seen. I have however seen people praise the sound and model quality.
>>130658776Don't get the mini x- yes it's WYSIWYG and everything's on the front panel but the 6" speaker doesn't sound decent until a full break in period and half the effects suck horse ass. That being said, if you just want 5 primary voicings and don't mind fucking with the gain dial, it can do some pretty decent variations. The variation on brown sound kind of sucks and it honestly sounds the best plugged into actual headphones where the cabinet simulation kicks in.On batt, at roughly 45mins/day I can go about 8-9 days with volume at 9 o'clock, went through it in 2 days with volume at noon but it can definitely move air.
>>130658921can you please just make up your mind and buy something this is like the third thread you've taken over with your shopping anxiety
>>130658955I shant, /gg/ will suffer as I try to perform all the mental gymnastics in not getting a DAW and setting up a proper nam playing folder

>I struggle changing my own strings >people itt cut their own nuts and wire their own guitarsHow do I get better at taking care of my own guitars?
>>130659110this is the beavis to the SG's butthead
>>130659186i switched to 12s and didn't file my nut and i'm realizing i need to, sometimes they get stuck and the pegs do nothing until the tension yanks them through the nut slot
>>130659186Actually do it instead of paying a retarded """tech""" to do it.
>>130659186whatchu mean by "cut their own nuts?"
>>130659234>have blank piece of bone >cut it and and sand it to shape>measure string spacing>cut and file string grooves to the correct spacing, width, and depth
>>130659110You can't just decide that, tho. It's against the rules.
>>130659225what do yall think
>>130659110>only 3 knobsMight as well have that on a more comfortable layout
>>130659274Is that nut on your nut?
>>130659186dont bother with nut work unless you have the tools and dont mind wasting money fucking up a few
The Chinese place gave me two free sodas with my order, bros.wagmi>>130659274busted
>>130659292nitro
>>130659225You don't need to touch your nut. Just watch videos and learning the string changing technique and change your strings often and practice until you get good. Peg winders and the winders that look like drills make it easier. Worst case buy locking tuners because even a retard can restring those and it saves more than half the time.
Who in here is like this, the faguar only-two-pictures-of-his-apartment guy?
>>130659250>>cut it and and sand it to shapeso we aren't cutting off our balls (this is a joke)
>>130659322A nut is like your girlfriend, if anything bigger ever goes in there... don't expect her to go back.KyaaAAA!~
>>130659322if the nut was sized for 9s doesn't it make sense that going up to 12s will cause problems
>>130659372Dont put on 12s
>>130659186Just do it tm>>130659274I generally have to open up my nut slots when going up to 12s for the first time on the guitar. You can do it on the wound strings easily without a nut file by just using the part the string you cut off at the tuners as a file that’s already the perfect size you need, but you need to be careful and only apply pressure to open the slot and not make it any deeper than it needs to be. On the plain strings it’s harder to do without a correct file but for years I got away with using welding tip cleaners for smaller plain strings if you don’t want to spend money on actual files but it’s very imprecise and easy to mess the nut up
>>130659390you can just choose not to reply when you have nothing helpful to say
You gaiz lube the slots, right? What do you use?Graphite is my choice but I don't like how it stains.
>>130659435>I lube my dih(this is a joke lol)
>>130659435A dirty nut never hurt no one... except your mom's tone
>>130659358go back
>>130659435I just take my kids’ pencils and use those
>>130659372I could have been more clear - yes you will run into problems. My point was Someone like you (a novice) will fuck up the nut and you will have to pay for a tech to make you a new one or install one. So your options are pay a tech to file them for you to accommodate 12s, or don't use 12's.
>>130658994You could get an hx stop new for ~$200 more or get a boss ir-200 new for ~$100 less and they would both have better amp modeling.
>>130659514i had a tech put the 12s on because i knew the intonation would need to be adjusted and i typically get new guitars setup at least once anyway. might be able to convince them to file the nut for free since it was their job to figure out if it needed that
guys should I ask my parents for a cry baby?

Black guard on white guitars is nice. >>130659198I'd say that would be more for V and Explorer. SG and LP junior would be more fitting I think. >>130659258I just did. >>130659289Biggest reason I like Vs is because they're super comfortable actually. My favourite shape to play. I would arrange the knobs a little different and put the switch up front for better reach though.
Cort looking good.
>>130660095My first guitar was a korean epi explorer. I put emgs in it because I was into metal when I was 15. I still kind of like the explorer shape but I must say I have always hated the v.
>>130660095Sir this is the Red-Hot Telecaster Tuesday edition. But, have you ever heard the tale of how Dave Davies got his V? I guess he'd been saving up money for their first US tour so he could buy a nice guitar, and went through a bunch in a shop, not connecting with any of them. Finally he gets around to a dusty case for a guitar that the store had had for years and couldn't sell, and bonded with it instantly.
>>130659956I thought he was laying low due to him becoming famous or some shit
How can I generate income, especially passive income, with my riffs and noodling?
>>130660141Laying low lmao. He also said he'd stop using his tripcode due to the fear of being recognized and associated with this site.
>>130660130I like Explorers too, they're cool. Vs are still my favourite though. >>130660132Son it's Wednesday. I have not heard that though! Good for him that he found a guitar to bond with, that's always great for a guitarist. I can't imagine playing a V that way though...
>>130660132That’s not what happened, when the Kinks came to the US for their first tour his only guitar he brought was a Gretsch and the airlines lost it. He was dead broke and needed a guitar right now for the first show of the tour and at a shop the V was in a dusty old case for cheap because nobody wanted them and that’s what he could afford. He had that V and routinely played it until he sold it in the 90s after the Kinks called it quits. It has a really cool story and was well loved by himt.Kinks nut
>>130660152How are people going to recognize him? Does he think he's the only black guy with a 335?
>>130660240Also Dave’s playing by the late 70s is superb and his first solo record is full of some great guitar stuff https://youtu.be/3qoHiZ9Zym0
>>130660240>yep, some of the best music isn't corprate but rather from the soul, made up of kids trying to make good music with what they had
>>130660240>a GretschDo you mean the Guild Starfire? I've never seen him playing a Gretsch,
