can anyone recommend a y cable, 1/4 stereo to 2 male 1/4 mono, that isn't incredibly expensive or dog shit? I just want something to connect my zoom ms-70cdr+ to my valeton gp5 for stereo output when I use headphones.

Thanks for saying that in the last thread. To that other guy, My Epiphone is a 1999 MIK that's been customized. I don't need a quad cortex or whatever, I have a BOSS GX100 On my board fofr any extra digital modulation needs, though mostly the volume pedal and tuner lol.

Really liking this new neck and it feels good to finally enjoy playing my old #1 again. I got impatient sanding the sides of the nut so there’s slight overhang on either side of the neck and I need to file it down but other than that it’s perfectly set up and feels much better to me than the old thinner neck with jumbo frets. I’m thinking about sticking some Fralin Real 54 pickups in it to go even further into the faux 50s Strat thing but at the same time I don’t really need to upgrade pickups

sound like exactly the motivation you should follow and learn to code
if you have an ulterior reason to code besides just wanting to know how to code you learn a lot faster

It won't be a problem for a year or two but rechargeable batteries get annoying capacity degradation and I don't feel like breaking into a small-form factor amp at the risk of breaking off chunks of casing to do a batt swap, if I could in the first place.

>>130658889
I know there's a tone studio but next to even a spark mini or a boss katana gen III there's practically nothing, based on the reviews and software dives I've seen. I have however seen people praise the sound and model quality.

Don't get the mini x- yes it's WYSIWYG and everything's on the front panel but the 6" speaker doesn't sound decent until a full break in period and half the effects suck horse ass. That being said, if you just want 5 primary voicings and don't mind fucking with the gain dial, it can do some pretty decent variations.
The variation on brown sound kind of sucks and it honestly sounds the best plugged into actual headphones where the cabinet simulation kicks in.
On batt, at roughly 45mins/day I can go about 8-9 days with volume at 9 o'clock, went through it in 2 days with volume at noon but it can definitely move air.

You don't need to touch your nut. Just watch videos and learning the string changing technique and change your strings often and practice until you get good. Peg winders and the winders that look like drills make it easier. Worst case buy locking tuners because even a retard can restring those and it saves more than half the time.

>>130659186

>>130659274
I generally have to open up my nut slots when going up to 12s for the first time on the guitar. You can do it on the wound strings easily without a nut file by just using the part the string you cut off at the tuners as a file that’s already the perfect size you need, but you need to be careful and only apply pressure to open the slot and not make it any deeper than it needs to be. On the plain strings it’s harder to do without a correct file but for years I got away with using welding tip cleaners for smaller plain strings if you don’t want to spend money on actual files but it’s very imprecise and easy to mess the nut up

>>130659372
I could have been more clear - yes you will run into problems. My point was Someone like you (a novice) will fuck up the nut and you will have to pay for a tech to make you a new one or install one. So your options are pay a tech to file them for you to accommodate 12s, or don't use 12's.
>>
>>130658994
You could get an hx stop new for ~$200 more or get a boss ir-200 new for ~$100 less and they would both have better amp modeling.
>>
>>130659514
i had a tech put the 12s on because i knew the intonation would need to be adjusted and i typically get new guitars setup at least once anyway. might be able to convince them to file the nut for free since it was their job to figure out if it needed that

Sir this is the Red-Hot Telecaster Tuesday edition.
But, have you ever heard the tale of how Dave Davies got his V? I guess he'd been saving up money for their first US tour so he could buy a nice guitar, and went through a bunch in a shop, not connecting with any of them. Finally he gets around to a dusty case for a guitar that the store had had for years and couldn't sell, and bonded with it instantly.
>>
>>130659956
I thought he was laying low due to him becoming famous or some shit
>>
How can I generate income, especially passive income, with my riffs and noodling?
>>
>>130660141
Laying low lmao. He also said he'd stop using his tripcode due to the fear of being recognized and associated with this site.
>>
>>130660130
I like Explorers too, they're cool. Vs are still my favourite though.

>>130660132
Son it's Wednesday. I have not heard that though! Good for him that he found a guitar to bond with, that's always great for a guitarist. I can't imagine playing a V that way though...
>>
>>130660132
That’s not what happened, when the Kinks came to the US for their first tour his only guitar he brought was a Gretsch and the airlines lost it. He was dead broke and needed a guitar right now for the first show of the tour and at a shop the V was in a dusty old case for cheap because nobody wanted them and that’s what he could afford. He had that V and routinely played it until he sold it in the 90s after the Kinks called it quits. It has a really cool story and was well loved by him
t.Kinks nut
>>
>>130660152
How are people going to recognize him? Does he think he's the only black guy with a 335?
