progersive rock
Larks' Tongues is the worst of the King Crimson's 60s and 70s albums and I just don't understand why everyone gushes over it. Jamie Muir's shitty percussion is distracting and every song would sound better without it; the lyrics are substantially worse than anything Sinfield wrote; John Wetton is a bad vocalist who sounds like an 80 year old man constantly out of breath; and above all else, the songs are trying way too hard to be experimental and avant-garde, neglecting the melodies and atmosphere of the previous albums.
