So, is it prog?
Terry Bozzio is replacing Danny Carey in Beat.
>>131116877Without having listened to it, I'm going to say yes.
>>131117265Source?
>>131117265he was kino in UK so we'll see how it goes

>>131117343Huh, any particular reason or just making conversation?https://youtu.be/-5EeoeeRp38This is likely my favorite track off it, although it is among the proggier ones
>>131117586reddit :)
oh yeah yeah I'm progging
proggybumps...
>>131117265Damn, I'd rather have him there than Tool tbqh. Fear Inoculum was pretty disappointing.
I can't get into Genesis. I actually liked their very first album even though it wasn't very memorable. But their second was just boring. Should I try with a later album?
>>131127285Foxtrot and Lamb are their best ones. I agree that Fgtr is great even though the songs kinda blend into one another
>>131127308Selling England is their best overall record IMHO.
>>131127671Selling England an The Lamb are neck and neck for me, with Duke second.
>>131116877Mathcore is Prog's autistic son so yeah>>131117586It's on their website>>131125640Guess playing pseudo-prog for normalfags generates more money
The whole Yes Union album and tour are fascinating. There was an eight person Yes on tour where Bill Bruford drummed on Owner of A Lonely Heart, Tony Kaye played keyboards on Awaken, and Trevor Rabin played guitar on Rick Wakeman's excerpts from his Henry VIII album.
>>131130031Union was also a respectable album but we're not ready for that conversation yet
>>131130784Big Generator is better than 90125 too but I haven't heard Union. I only know ABWH totally and completely sucks. The Ladder is also decent
What do you guys think of SBB? Any other Polish prog?
Requesting Drakonym 1.5e
>>131131907I've tried SBB and Memento because they're so highly rated. I can find some parts here and there I like, but on the whole it didn't click.
>>131131907>Any other Polish prog?Riverside of courseI really wonder why they haven't broken up when guitarist died and the lead singer left
>>131131886Union has great 1st half and then it became a jumbled mess in the other half.I'd say from the start until Silent Talking are 7/10. The rest you can skip
>>131132459Memento I didn't find that great, very guitar and improv-focused, and it really sometimes feels like the improvisations were forced in order to fill up space. From what I know, there were some tensions when it was recorded and the band broke up before the record got out... lovely cover art tho. Pic is way better, especially the B-side track.
