Im just starting to learn the fretboard, but ive been playing for a little bit. I've noticed this pattern quite a bit in death metal, specifically a tremelo picking line on one string where you shift your hand back and forth 2 frets, in this case to hit the 12th fret on the d# string. Now that I know the layout of the board, I asked myself why not just hit the 7th fret of the a# string since then you dont need to move your fretting hand and its not like its an odd number of notes for the string change?

If I can't get the intonation on the low e at the 12th fret, and the frets are level on all frets, and I don't think it's a saddle issue, then it either has to be a nut issue or a bridge issue (as in, it must have been installed off) correct? I doubt it's a pickup height issue.

I give up on the Ibanez Gio. Removing the shim helped, but it's still slightly sharp at the 12th fret. I honestly want to fucking smash this piece of trash. Guess I'll have to buy another guitar at some point because I've been playing the tele so much that it's gonna need a crowning.

just finished relevelling and recrowning the frets on my 339 cause they were worn out really bad. I'm gonna order some pure nickel wound 3rd strings on it cause there's really not a lot of fret left loli was gigging this guitar like at least 3-4 times a week for 8ish years so it honestly held up pretty well considering, and that's not even counting rehearsals and practicing at home. but it was playing like shit and now it's like butter again so I'm happy
