What does a Fender tube champ sound like with a 12 inch speaker?
I usually play with my thumb straight up in the middle of the neck. I did notice that i tend to pivot on it temporarily when im moving horizontally across the neck or trying to tremelo pick a higher or lower string using my pinky for one beat. Is this okay or should I nip it in the bud now before its a habit.

You boys really need to learn how to adjust your guitars. Your strings should be able to lightly grip a quarter at the 12th fret. Its not difficult, quarter turns check relief, keep going until its where u want it.

Today, I wasted more of my time trying to fix the Ibanez Gio. I am no closer to fixing it and I am just a glutton for punishing. I'm just gonna buy a new guitar near a holiday.

>>13114182212th fret won't intonate. Also, I think either the neck pocket is screwed up or. the neck itself. There was a small shim in the neck at the bottom. When I removed it, seemed like it help the intonation get closer to not being sharp, but it caused choked frets towards the bottom. I think the neck has issues and I can't really be bothered to waste money on a new neck or taking it to a luthier. I even tried making my own shims, but nothing helped. I legitimately give up.

years ago i accidentally broke my first bass, its ibanez sr300 dxf. it has that little eq knob that stacked and somehow when traveling (without a case of course) it just landed wrong on that stacked pot and bent it and it hasnt worked since. that was like 10 years ago and I haven't got around to fixing it. thinking about pulling it and giving it a go tomorrow. are ibanez basses harder to work on? im only familiar with jazz basses. this one seems to be a passive pickup with active electronics (eq preamp?). ive always hated the battery but i have considered just bypassing it so i dont have to deal with that
>>131141924plenty of guitars have shims from the factory to be honest. that's a shame though, I'm assuming you know what you're doing in regard to neck relief and bridge adjustment? if so it could just be that after the neck fuckup and shimming the bridge is no longer in the right relative position to be able to be intonated one other thing you can do wrt intonation is changing string guage; heavier guage strings will go less sharp, so that might help if the difference is only small.
