Because of this guy I think I'm now only capable of falling in love with the ideas I have of girls that died tragically a long time ago. Not in a necrophilic way mind you, I just don't believe any living women could never match the romantic ideal of the ghost of a girl forever wandering the Earth without rest.I also just wish more songwriters allowed themselves to write about fucked up topics in such a romantic way, only other artist I can think of for this is Nicole Dollangange(r's early work) who most of you dismiss for the crime of being female.>Skull fuck you cold>Leave you on the floor>Mouth full of blood>But still you beg for more>All busted up>Lips wired shut>I know you less now>Than I did beforeShe did a whole EP that's a tribute to the Columbine boys too.Are there other songwriters who walk this line?
>>131224042i myself would like write strange romantic songs. I enjoy the weirdness of his lyrics
>>131224042I don't know what makes jeff mangum's lyrics so good though. Maybe the music elevates it but the lyrics are very potent. I can only dream of making a song like that
>Jeff Mangum longing for Anne FrankBased>Nicole DollangerCringe. Not because she's a woman but because that "abusive girlfriend" angle is lame. I will give her credit for doing it like 10 years before it became popular.
>>131224042anne franks diary was fakedall im sayin
I wish I could save her in some sort of time machine
>>131224577she survived, she somehow escaped and lived a full life
>>131224042I think I'm the same way, I nonironically fall in love with characters like Laura Palmer because of her tragic life and death. You might like Anna von Hausswolff
