I got my dead blow hammer into today late. I checked the neck again. I don't just have two frets. Problem is due to the wood in the neck shrinking, multiple ends on the neck have risen. The heat has been brutal, and not even a humidifier helped. I hate living in an old home that's hard to keep cool, but there's only so much you can do without running up your propane bill. Kind of wish I didn't go with a cool vibe and instead got something with a roasted maple neck because those are apparently more resilient to weather changes. It's probably gonna have to be leveled again after I whack and glue whatever frets need to be glued. I really don't have the space to do a fret leveling. I don't even own a table. I'm gonna have to use the top of a dresser for the fret whacking and gluing. Wish I could find another luthier that was better than the last guy. Looking closer, it looked like he didn't bother to crown a few frets. It at least played fine at the time. I know more now than I did back then, so if I knew and understood, I would have asked him about it. Just glad it's not a really expensive guitar.
