Salame deal but with Gibson.
Unless you are looking for some absolutely custom made –"""m2m"""- stuff or something very specific, regular CS stuff is either just ok or appallingly ridiculous for the price point.
I had a hard on for this beautifully faded sunburst R8 and it was such a turd that it out me off buying Gibsons after like a four year buying spree –and I moved back to Rolexes, so win win?-

plain custom shop are just assembly line guitars with higher binned parts that get a “setup” by someone slightly less retarded after it gets finish sprayed by someone slightly less retarded. they don’t even get built by the custom shop team (team built) because that is a separate sku entirely underneath masterbuilt. I don’t think gibson even has master builders, just the Murphy lab team and a few custom shop people that make necks and carve tops. as far as I have researched this is the case for all the multinational guitar companies, with the exception of Martin guitar. Martin has specific people that do hand work and only that very specific job, and they do all the custom shop guitars that go through. they have only a couple of people that do all the custom shop spec necks by hand, and depending on the model some of the custom shop tops are hand voiced even at the entry level custom shop models etc etc. if they have master builders I’ve never seen them interviewed

I'm trying to learn standard notation instead of relying on tabs.

Pic related is from a youtube tutorial.
Now, the tab has you playing an open A string (bass note) and the 5th fret of the B string for the first beat.

However, in the notation above the tab, it shows the bass note as having a line through it. The E at the top makes sense, but what the fuck is the note below it? the position makes it look like a D to me, but that doesn't make any sense because it doesn't match the tab. I know the tab is correct because it sounds right when actually playing the guitar.

Here's the whole arrangement:

Try playing in a classical position. Prop your left leg up on something and set the guitar on your left thigh. Also always stretch your hands properly before playing.

Where is the best place to sell my BOSS amp & overdrive pedal? I never play clean so I'd rather just get a marshall amp.
The different effects on the katana are nice but honestly they don't sound as good as an actual pedal or a plugin in a DAW

if I’ve ever learned anything it’s that guitarists and especially boomers are always wrong. I had the 5 it’s a great amp. without pedals, you can get into Metallica and Welcome to the Jungle levels of distortion at conversational volume levels. if you’re willing to go a bit louder you get into the heavier levels of distortion
>>
>>131354787
also idk if youve ever really listed to the guitar on WTTJ but its pretty distorted at least for no pedals whatsoever

I know this is bait, but guitar is genuinely the worst instrument to program.
Drums are one thing obviously, you can even program bass if you know what you’re doing, but programmed guitar always sounds like shit unless it’s a dead simple rhythm thing, and even then it usually sounds a bit off.
Anyone who disagrees must post a voca proving otherwise.

I'd love to be able to record 2+ guitar tracks a bass track piano and drums but so far I am somewhat ok at guitar getting somewhat ok at bass and completely suck at piano and drums. it just implies a more kinda Emsus2 or E dorian type of feel

notes in B minor pent:
B D E F# A
notes in E minor pent:
E G A B D

they are the same except F# instead of G. so it's just got a 9th/2nd instead of a minor 3rd. depending on the other chords in the song (i don't know it) then it could imply other things, for example an F# over A minor implies Am6, which is more jazzy sounding.

B minor is the same notes as E dorian so if he's using the whole scale instead of just pentatonic at times then similar stuff would be happening with the C being a C#

Warwick and Spector have some of the best import instruments. There's no reason for other chinkshits to try to copy them.
You get the same electronics and qc as the German/US made instruments and Warwick even overhauled their import line again last year to offer the same brass frets as the big boys. You're getting something that's 80% there for like 30% of the price of the real pro line instruments.

Meanwhile you have Sterlings which cost like 800 bucks and are worse than $200 Ibanez and Harley Bentons.
