Been playing guitar for 2 years now, getting decent at it. I can play barre chords and know my scales. Played piano since I was a kid, and I can figure out most songs by ear on the piano pretty easily. Starting to get to that point with the guitar.This leads me to my question for you guys, how do I train myself to recognize more obscure chord voicings? I was by myself, minding my own business when this hulking brute in a denim vest with skull patches and images of cut off tongues pinned me to the ground and was jabbering something about "punk rock" (?)... The security at the venue got him off me, but it killed the vibes. It was a prog jazz venue, I wasn't expecting that element. As a frail 130lbs man I was certainly in fear for my safety.
