He gingerly steps over the metal grate, in his mid-calve length red leather pumps, thinking how if he dropped his keys through it on the wrong day it could end his life. He had 4 friends dead by becoming frozen solid this past year. Now he doesn't have friends. He clambers into the funicular, and 13 minutes later he arrives at the discotheque. He is wearing a peach coloured turtle-neck sweater, and dark grey corduroy slacks. He walks to the bar and tells them he's here for his set. Someone from the crowd hands him an Ovation acoustic. Two large men from the crowd walk up and grab a spot at the drum set and synth. He places a suction cup piezo pickup on the ovation, and plugs it into his battery powered Honey-Tone amp, and adjusts the stand-mounted Shure Sm-57 dynamic microphone toward it's speaker. The two brutes ooze out a subtle new-wave groove. And he somberly begins to play his last imaginary guitar solo...

>>131885741Sometimes thst can be an issue wit the neck pocket too- that the neck is skewed one way or the other. you can leave tension on the strings then barely loosen the four screws on the neck and move the neck where you need. Watch out for either E strings being too close to the edge of the fretboard though.

So what's the deal with Schecter and PRS? They're expensive, I see them in all the shops, there are a good number on the used marke. Are they just for gear queers who don't play, or are they underrated if you can pick one up used for a good price?

>>131888786>Did you learn how to work on your amps by just watching videos or what?Basically, yeah. I didn't want to go weeks without my amps by taking them to a tech, and there's a lot of good tutorials on yt especially for the Bassman circuits. Psionics on yt is a really good resource for old Fender amps and their reissues. Technology Enterprices and Fazio Electric are also good channels. The hardest part was just getting to courage to dive in and just do it.Get a snuffer stick (or make one) and a third hand if you don't already have one. So far all I've done is -Replace filter caps-Replace Bias cap-Replace old ceramic disc caps-Reflow solder on heater wiring-Reconfigured 16ohm 4x12 cab to 4ohmNow I just watch Psionic's videos in my free time and am slowly learning different amp circuits and what does what and what to replace when. It's neat stuff if you like to tinker.

Quality of posts in online communities is defined by content that is relevant, clear, respectful, and valuable to the specific audience, rather than merely frequent. High-quality contributions drive meaningful discussions, increase engagement metrics, and foster a loyal community, whereas low-quality or spammy content leads to user disengagement and algorithmic suppression.

Bud, friend, guy, really think about what you're asking, why would you pour time and work into a comment thats gonna get buried and disappear, why wouldn't you just post this "quality" somewhere thats permanent and isn't on life support?Nothing in these threads can't be found elsewhere except the banter and the vocaroos. Is this good for a first guitar?https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DGX3931N?lv=shuf&rsd=hVcufRiHt%2FMFf7OCwQTJU7Hxak5g7o4CvcyUCvG2iGTHZKZISXuB%2BWYuBPAU3PCWuRoIHB4PqtwKOy2Z9CCYqj2afrajgM2fiVMM0d0z9IVsepnl&edk=AQIDAHi1lw%2FM8UbbSMD9ScOOFEmBMHMthHeEhqDaQYPJUAX3jQHUT5EwFQZp8VFtqggLXRn3AAAAfjB8BgkqhkiG9w0BBwagbzBtAgEAMGgGCSqGSIb3DQEHATAeBglghkgBZQMEAS4wEQQMx7aYfdAdRs7PKRFRAgEQgDs0LafRmAkv0SbFYL%2BDULsWOQ%2FRVn8%2Bx8nzmlhiV7WbmI4FhPCPIFF7fKUjYgrPfszX%2FEk4tG9l8Ocdfw%3D%3D&social_share=cm_sw_r_cso_cp_apin_dp_TGKWH0EVEPVV69SJ12ZX&channelId=704&ref_=cm_sw_r_cso_cp_apin_dp_TGKWH0EVEPVV69SJ12ZX&plpRedirect=mhFallback
>>131896412I live in a very large city, so there's a decent handful of quality guitar shops with good reputation and stock.>>131896367This is a first guitar for me to figure out if I even want to stick with it for more than a season, so not much. Probably $300-ish range (or less if used). I think that's enough to get me out of the Amazon/Ali express slop and into something real.Talking to a guy at work who plays, he asked me about what music I liked and the recommended something with single-coils/P-90, but to not mind humbuckers either. Stylewise something a little more contemporary, the whole 50s/60s style does nothing for me despite it being what guitar types seem to idolize.Ibanez GRG121SP, Harley Benton CST-24T P-90, or something used. Idk, probably just going to let the salesman talk me into something he likes or go off script by getting a classical.
>>131897800Yes.The amp might be garbage though,
>>131897800Fix your fucking link retard. Also, no. Did you seriously imagine you could get all that shit for $120 and there would he a single redeeming quality about any of it? That's landfill bait.Get a cheap squier or ibanez or something.
>>131897566that’s normal until youve been playing a while
>>131896943El Choclo>>131896631Shoulda got a double fat Strat
>>131897566Always either do double fat (HH), or just stick with all single coilsThe middle position of an HH sounds better than a middle single coil, and you lose the quacky in between positions anyway with humbuckers
>>131898066Both of these should be fine for a beginner. I'll also add the Yamaha Pacifica 112V to that list. If you can find any of them used for a good price just go for it, since you will probably want to upgrade to something better anyway if you decide to stick with it. Avoid floating bridges on cheap guitars. Also you can postpone purchasing an amp while you save money for something decent if you got a pc setup for recording and playing.
>>131898549fuck, meant for >>131897889You can also grab one of these things someone mentioned last thread. They come with a tuner too, so that's another piece of gear you can skip.
Going to Guitar Center to get my strings changed.
>>131898777hell yeah man enjoy make sure you tune the baritones to E standard while you’re there
>>131898777the first time I changed strings on a guitar I was 13 years old and had no idea what I was doing, it was before the YouTube days yet I still managed to do it successfullyis it really supposed to be that hard

how long does it take where you just free style random shit and it actually sounds like something good I’m a complete beginner and no I’m not getting impatient I am just curious
>>131900342start noodling now, pay attention to sounds you like to hear, I was intimidated by the notion, trying to learn modes and forms and patterns and it really is better to just mess around with sounds and try to play things you like, it can be soon as a couple weeks if you learn a couple chord progressions and start noodling around the shapes by ear, moving them around the fret board etc. Realistically though I make a lot of stuff now and I never used to make anything but I've been playing for 20 years basically just tabs, without bothering to learn or study much of anything and it just now clicked for me lel
>>131900263this is craig again avoid
>>131897800Hell no you'll spend more time fixing it than playing it.
https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/CEO7--martin-ceo-7-teardrop-sunburst?serial=M3078107Just bought one of these cuz my boomer uncle died and left me some inheritance money, I barely play the guitar just know a little piano, what am I in for?
>>131900589>what am I in for?more fake bait posts from the looks of it
>>131900589I wouldn't pay that much for a wooden box with strings, but each to their own
>>131900342build vocabulary by learning songs and transcribe stuff that is in your head for 20 mins a day. you could jump right into trying to improvise like >>131900371but it will sound very amateurish til you get some vocabulary. imitate, assimilate, innovate
Is Fender fretwork usually this shitty?
>>131900668yes. I always had 3-4 high frets on my american vintages/originals. they also will fret sprout immediately if the board shrinks at all
Les Pauls rock. I'm here to post my top 3.

>>131900913craig once again don't do it
>>131896631You should have got one with a maple fretboard
>>131900809I have an epiphone les paul gold top and it's a beautiful instrument. if my strat wasn't so nice I'd probably use the les paul as my main. currently like a 80/20 split between my strat and les paul
Imagine maining NPC guitars
>>131901125like what
>>131901154Any good one
>>131901002Frusciante relic Strat is cool and all, but I will take this axe over it, any day.
>>131901187Why is the wood grain all pixelated?
>>131901182I guess we will all keep having to imagine
>>131901213Because it’s a low quality veneer

>>131901820fucking kek
>>131900721I had a tele who's frets were perfect for 10 years and really only needed to be leveled. The shop had a PLEK so they got that But my most recent Tele is a year old and it needs fretwork. It's unplayable due to the high frets. Give me a break, Fender
