As the title says, just post British trains. A bonus would be export trains (whether built for other countries, 2nd hand, or that country simply copying a design from here) and diversions (especially a train making an appearance at a station it otherwise never would)

Funnily enough, the class 92s are very limited on 3rd rail. They can draw so much current that they can trip breakers if they're used at full power or in peak hours on the 750V network

My local operator got nationalised nearly a month ago and I don't really have any complaints. I'm a bit concerned about coach formations lacking but I can't tell if that was always the case and I just never bothered to notice, otherwise I'm curious to see if we'll get a new livery further down the line or they'll just inherit the same paint schemes and branding for everything like other nationalised franchises have done. I think LNER is the only one that actually has a unique livery but it's alleged that Virgin were planning for that paint scheme anyway

Apparently NS were after the class 76 locomotives as well. They rather liked 'Tommy' when it was there and needed more freight locomotives. BR had given the excuse that the 76s were too old and life expired so they went for scrap.

Could be a false rumour but I wouldn't put it past BR to do something like that.

DfT (and others) want the entire voyager family to die because they're the worst units ever built for the british railways
they're bad in ways that can't be remediated by refurbishment (80x) or excused by lack of money (Pacers)
no money will ever be forthcoming to polish a voyager

Why are voyagers shit?

t. never been on one
>>
>>2048199
>smell like piss and shit because the ventilation is next to the toilet vents
>insane underuse of carriage length. ever been on a train with too -much- luggage space?
>diesel under thousands of miles of wire because of the last shitty scottish branch line they have to trundle down
>only exist because of nu-rail's autistic hatred of LHCS (functionally bimode; they'd swap in a 47 for an 86 where the wires ran out and not before)
>shorter than what they replaced and than what they prevented from cascading by existing on the XC route
>can't run double without a guard per unit so the rear unit gets locked out as an insult to passengers if only one shows up
They replaced electric-hauled services on the WCML with something less fuel-efficient than an MTU'd HST for Operation Princess, which failed miserably, and now we're stuck running a worse version of it forever because these insults can't run anything else.

>they're honestly fine
lolnope
Apart from the chronic overcrowding on any route where they're used, they're also uncomfortable to ride in. Fortunately they don't provide a service on any route I take regularly so I don't need to care much.
>>
>>2050534
But Pacers were worse. Some excuse that for various reasons, but that doesn't stop them from being utter shit.
>>
>>2050534
The several times I’ve travelled on Voyagers they’ve been about as average as any other train journey. I did have an awful journey on a Meridian (same thing but basically a continuation with minor tweaks) from London to Leicester but that was due to a cancellation, the journey on the way back was bliss

do British trains simply not ride at night? what's with the pathetic light fixtures? A single reflector?
>>
>>2050951
What do you need to see at night? The signals are illuminated and so are the stations. That's all you need.
>>
>>2050951
Those are all vintage locomotives you tell me how many of those have super efficient headlights. Modern trains all have LEDs
>>
>>2050951
Trains don't give a F* . The yellow paint is to tell you to GTFO. Anything more would be extravagant.

The 150 is my goto when I play TSW4.

Has anyone seen the Class 37 hanging out next to platform 1 at Manchester Piccadilly? It's apparently "providing support", but since there's no trains between Manchester and Stockport I son't know why anything would need help? It's in a very nice BR Freight Metals livery.
>>
>>2051443
>no trains between Manchester and Stockport

Why is that?
>>
>>2051506
They're replacing the roundabout which is above all lines to the south (shown in the red circle). Trains are being diverted through Wilmslow I believe. Luckily, I live on the Hope Valley Line that doesn't go though there.
>>
>>2051508
Ah, so it's just a temporary thing then. Thanks.
>>
>>2051443
That'll be a Thunderbird.

They’ve been getting worse, and they really peaked at the classic Anglia, ONE, and the NXEA livery with those grey striped.
>>
>>2051719
Because it is
>>2051720
Even NXEA grey/white was under-delivered, literally one 360 was repainted only to be reverted back to boring purple with white stripes after the GA takeover, and all those units with the plain white and blue doors were meant to be grey/white as well >>2048627
