Are we going to automate air travel?
>>2049250I'm so terminally (pun intended) on this site that I read that as "Niggerson Lines"
>>2049250no because then there's nobody to blame for the crashes
>>2049252Pun as in >group of gates at an airportor >retardation was bestowed upon you through excessive visits to this webiste
>>2049259Well it's a pun because it means both of those things.
Can you try and be smart please
>>2049250already did, many crashes are caused by human pilots failing to correctly diagnose the automated systems response to faulty instruments.
>>2049250Once CBTC is fully installed we can have conga lines of similarly sized aircraft on final 500 ft behind each other and do simultaneous takeoffs and landings on same runway
>>2049250It already is...
>get into plane>do the bare minimum in terms of checklists because most stuff has been automated>start manually>as soon as gear is up autopilot is flying>do literally nothing for 1 - 12 hours>autoland gets me to the ground>taxi and leaveIt's just taxiing that's still mostly manual and I don't even know why. Once we find a way to do autostarts safely literally everything will be pretty much automated. For checklists we might see remote ops, but single pilot ops are coming in fast.
>>2049250It already is, pilots just barely do anything
>>2050969Time for some women and POC pilots then!
