I wish I still lived in the city so I had more reason to own a bicycle, I want to do a custom build of a nice simple single speed but I likely won't ever have to use it because I live 100 miles from any urban center.

This goofy intersection is almost done. Traffic turns left to get to the roundabout at the far intersection, turns left to get back on the highway at the near intersection. A truck stop is going in there and this is supposed to keep trucks turning in and out from blocking each other's view resulting in collisions.

today's ride was colourful
moved my seat forward a few mm halfway through my ride today.the longer I ride this bike, and the more my body adapts to it, the more I creep the seat forward.
It rained a lot last Sunday and the ground is taking a very long time to dry out due to low temperatures and high humidity. The tire tracks on this road would have been fine for riding, but I saw a grader further up the road and decided to turn around. A grader churning up wet mud would likely have left the road unrideable.
