lol, look at those oinkers struggling to run, bet they're going to make crying selfie videos now for social media about how they were "assaulted" because they pulled a muscle trying to sprint for 10 seconds

From last thread, found some cracks (?) In my frame. Picked up a carbon frame bike and didnt see this until after riding on it for a couple of weeks. Will this kill me? There is no flex and the cracks dont gap when I flex the dropouts or anything. I have no knowledge or experience with carbon

yeah that's severe damage, it will kill you.. if you care enough you can have it repaired by calfee, otherwise you're hosed
>>
>>2054855
Carbon doesn't really "flex" like you're describing, it will just snap and I don't think I'd want to ride a bike with a crack like that. There are a lot of other companies besides calfee who will do carbon repair, but unless it's a unique or special frame, you may not think the cost is worth it let alone being without a bike for however long it takes

Its not an expensive frame, might look into getting a replacement then. Do they still make rim brake frames?
>>
>>2054896
In carbon? Not unless you're willing to pay $5k+ for a Sarto or a Landshark or take a chance on Yoeleo at around $1k. You might be able to find some new old stock at ye old crusty bike shoppe, it's how I recently got a Bianchi Aria with Centaur 11 for like half of the MSRP and probably could have dickered them down more. If you want steel or aluminum there are plenty of options.

Started to notice the non-drive side of my Hollowtech bottom bracket start to wobble when I pedal. When I pulled out the shell, I noticed the threads were damaged. Can a shop still salvage this? Frame is steel chromoly if that helps.

More pics this time of the upper side. These don't seem to look as damaged.

anything that's sold as just a frameset is going to be aimed at the racing crowd and will be aggressive, expensive, and probably not what you're after

Yes, and I also dont have big bucks to spend. Maybe I move the components over to an aluminum frame.

In the meantime I sanded down the cracks and it seems they were pretty superficial, only throught the paint and maybe one layer of carbon fiber. In the pic I wiped with isopropyl and you can see the crack still wet on the lower part in the primer

Do you guys have a Google Maps to .GPX file converter that you use? I was using https://mapstogpx.com/ all summer, and it was really convenient because I could do it all on my phone, so if I wanted to change destinations or something I could make a new route on the fly.

Since a couple weeks ago I've been getting this error (pic rel) and I haven't been able to fix it. I think Google changed something in the Maps API code and broke the format that the converters were using. I tried a few other sites that do the same thing and none of them work now.

I was able to get it working using "Google My Maps" (completely different site) and this converter: https://www.alltrails.com/converter

But there's no mobile version of My Maps so I have to do the route from my PC before I leave. I'd really like to find another conversion tool that works from my phone.

You might want to contact Ruckus Composites on a repair. I think their repair fee is a flat $450 w/o repainting tho that info is a year old. They repaired one of my MTBs a few years ago and did a killer job

Ok hear me out, I've got an old steel frame that I was planning on converting to single speed and I came across the idea of making it a dingle speed/fixed just like Sheldon's Brown fixed/one-two-three speed bicycle.

I found this NOS Regina two speed freewheel that I think would work pretty well for it, and a fixed cog on the other side of the hub. What I'm worried about is chain line and the possibility of dropping the chain especially on the two speed side. What are your thoughts about this (and possibly other issues I'm not considering) anons?

Because everyone views them as bottom of the barrel trash who couldn't even get a job as a regular cop, so, where's the incentive for fit, competent people with a healthy sense of "what if people see me doing this"? Sign up to work with a bunch of other losers, for an organization that will probably be disbanded as soon as the MAGA fever is over and everyone pretends they never supported any of that, except oops it's all over your linkedin, which is archived, and there's all this footage of you beating up middle aged dads and there's AI by that point that isn't affected by the face mask and sunglasses so everyone knows it's you. What kind of person takes that deal?

Maybe if they continue to destroy the economy and more and more people are desperate for work, but one thing they can point to is things haven't gotten so bad that normies are taking jobs as ICE agents, so, could be worse right?
>>
>>2055019
>there's AI by that point that isn't affected by the face mask and sunglasses so everyone knows it's you
I wouldn't trust an AI to identify anyone that can't be verified. Too much risk for false positives. Possibly intentional, i.e. false witness. Too easy to set someone up as a fall guy.
