There was way less bullshit to go through for passengers, and their safety record was way better. They achieved that through the power of racism. No, that's literally all they did. They only had pretty light checks, and then gave security agents the latitude to walk around and pull people that they thought looked shady. And all with them being probably the one nation on Earth people would want to destroy more than the US.
