My hours just got reduced from 50 to 24 a week, and I need quick money.

I live in a big city and I want to start doing DoorDash/Uber Eats on my bike downtown and I am wondering if I should use my brothers e-bike (fat tires, 80 lbs, really big) or my city bike (26 lbs)? I know an e-bike might sound like the more logical option, but I am worried about running out of battery only 3-4 hours in, and then having to lug that tank of a bike around. My city bike is a feather compared to that. Please help me decide. I want to basically bike around the city from 9am-9pm without going home to charge for 8 hours.

pic rel is just a cute pic I found from Pinterest, but it looks like my bike..

you're trying to compete with all the Singhs and Muhammads that have cars and are already running.
Then people will leave you bad reviews for taking too long.
Or they'll put in orders that are realistically too big for you on a bike.
You will be killing yourself for a mere pittance in wages.

Realistically even in a Big City you'd need a moped/motorcycle with a large kitted out thermal box to be able to deliver food consistently enough to actually MAKE money.

>moped/motorcycle
thought about that, I actually have a class m license, but they can't go in the bike lanes and it's illegal to filter where I live.

>but they can't go in the bike lanes
electrics can and honestly ive seen people take fucking ATVs onto bike paths, karens park their F-150s in them, no one cares about bike paths, there are no laws actually enforced

kek, is this the freedom that i hear about so often? sounds like a nightmare

bike lanes serve two purposes:

1. makes clueless urbanist inbreds think they "won" something

2. unlimited free parking
>>

>urbanist inbreds
?

They can save lives if they have barriers, also cycling right next to speeding F350s sucks.

my city puts barries on the "protected" "bike lanes" but karens and jeets just drive right into them at intersections. there is no escape

Realistically you will be taking a brakes because you will absolutely not have orders coming in all the time for those 12h. There's a morning rush, a lunch rush, and the evening is the longest period of time you will have consistent work. That was my experience delivering in the city. Your mileage may obviously vary. I would personally take a break and go home if I were you and split your use between the e-bike and regular bike.

Horse shit. I got nothing but good reviews doing uber eats on my 29er
>>
>>2069189
Oh btw the morning rush starts around 7am where I was at. 9am it was already tapering off. Again your mileage may vary.

??
it's faster to travel by bike than car during rush hour in any city

>horizontal top tube
>dropped seat stays
that's a man bike!

THIS NIGGA DIGS ON MAN MEAT

>any city
You're forgetting that /n/ urbanists mostly live in bumpkin towns in oklahoma hence why they are so angry about public transportation all the time
>>
>>2069490
this is very true, I forget not everyone lives in Boston, and that the city to them is a stretch of strip malls kek
