Anonymous Secret service thwarts foreign(...) 09/24/25(Wed)19:28:17 No. 1441890 The secret service discovered a network of gsm servers with 100k active sim cards dispersed across new York City which were being used by a foreign government to send death threats to top US officials. I can guarantee you that Russia or china are taking advantage of the recent violence in the US and spreading conspiracy theories and such to cause more unrest. They don't care about anyone's political affiliation. https://arstechnica.com/security/2025/09/us-uncovers-100000-sim-cards-that-could-have-shut-down-nyc-cell-network/ US uncovers 100,000 SIM cards that could have “shut down” NYC cell network The US Secret Service announced this morning that it has located and seized a cache of telecom devices large enough to "shut down the cellular network in New York City." And it believes a nation-state is responsible. According to the agency, "more than 300 co-located SIM servers and 100,000 SIM cards" were discovered at multiple locations within the New York City area. Photos of the seized gear show what appear to be "SIM boxes" bristling with antennas and stuffed with SIM cards, then stacked on six-shelf racks. (SIM boxes are often used for fraud.) One photo even shows neatly stacked towers of punched-out SIM card packaging, suggesting that whoever assembled the system invested some quality time in just getting the whole thing set up. The gear was identified as part of a Secret Service investigation into "anonymous telephonic threats" made against several high-ranking US government officials, but the setup seems designed for something larger than just making a few threats. The Secret Service believes that the system could have been capable of activities like "disabling cell phone towers, enabling denial of services attacks, and facilitating anonymous, encrypted communication between potential threat actors and criminal enterprises." >>
Anonymous 09/24/25(Wed)19:28:45 No. 1441892 Analysis of data from so many devices will take time, but preliminary investigation already suggests that "nation-state threat actors" were involved; that is, this is probably some country's spy hardware. With the UN General Assembly taking place this week in New York, it is possible that the system was designed to spy on or disrupt delegates, but the gear was found in various places up to 35 miles from the UN. BBC reporting suggests that the equipment was "seized from SIM farms at abandoned apartment buildings across more than five sites," and the ultimate goal remains unclear. While the gear has been taken offline, no arrests have yet been made, and the investigation continues. >>

Anonymous 09/24/25(Wed)23:34:08 No. 1441980 Doesn't have to be nefarious. Could have been a rig to spy on conversations in an attempt to uncover pizzagate. Calls could have been made to suspects in hopes of the link getting tapped in order to infiltrate the system... just saying, it doesn't have to be for a nefarious thing. They could have been trying to end a child trafficking ring but Trump thwarted it... I wonder why, it isn't like he is in the epstein files that don't exist... >>

Anonymous 09/25/25(Thu)13:48:04 No. 1442189 >>1442064 Nah Odds are it was an operation by cyber gangs (or foreign government) reselling cellular access to people like scammers, criminals, swatters, etc. All of the gsm gateways were plugged into network routers, those devices only purpose is to expose a gsm modems over the Internet for remote management. The most likely answer here it was being used by people who were purchasing temporary access using crypto and it just so happened some of them were using them for sending death threats to high profile politicians and operating social media bots and scamming old people. On a possibly related note, since this thing got taken down I haven't seen that one bot-like poster on here that has the super odd writing styles with how it replies to people>>
