WASHINGTON ‒ The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington is now known as the the "Trump-Kennedy Center," according to the White House.
The Kennedy Center's board of directors voted unanimously on Dec. 18 to rename the national music and cultural institution after President Donald Trump, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement.

The board, which Trump chairs, is made up of members handpicked by the president. Yet an official name change appears to require action from Congress. A law passed in 1964, months after President John F. Kennedy's assassination, established the construction of "a building to be designated as the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts." The law did not grant the board authority to change its name.

One month into his second term in office, Trump terminated the Kennedy Center's board and installed himself as the new chairman while tapping several political allies as new board members. Trump chose Ric Grenell, his envoy for special missions, as the center's president.

Non story

How much is that going to cost taxpayers?
>>
>>1467013
totally not the act of a malignant narcissist.
>>
OK. Now only one assassination is missing.
>>

According to one of the board members; this wasn't unanimous or even on the agenda. They literally just muted anyone on a voice call who dissented and said it passed lmao
>>
>>1467071
Yeah, I'd believe that.
>>
>>1467029
Trump has brought in googolplex dollars into the country by making other countries pay for tariffs so he should be allowed to have this one
>>
>>1467071
That's entirely on brand for trump, but I still want to see a source to confirm it.
>>
>>1467071
I would like to see this, if only to confirm how completely off the rails this administration is

And yes, she is on the board.

How else was Trump supposed to get a unanimous agreement if she was allowed to dissent?
>>

>Trump stooge tells blatant, easily probably lie about something that doesn't matter to create controversy and distract from scandals and lies of the Trump administration that actually impact people's lives
This has been their favorite play since 2017
Acknowledge Karoline Leavitt is a blatant liar whose word is worthless, like everyone who voluntarily associates with Donald Trump, then move back to the stories that matter, like Trump crashing the economy and having no idea what he's doing with Venezuela, Ukraine, Israel, or literally anything else
>>
>>1467088
*Easily provable lie, fucking autocorrect
>>
>>1467027
If he spends government money to change the signs, who will stop him?
>>
>>1467114
Nothing, but just like his department of war crimes name change, you can just change it back. Assuming he wasn't spiteful enough to destroy the department of defense signs.
But given he destroyed all the planes for the clear skies treaty with russia so Biden couldn't reestablish it, he absolutely would.

Either way, anything named after trump should have it removed

What?
>>
>>1467071
Literally fucking Russian behaviour.
