Anonymous Trump announces new plot to st(...) 02/03/26(Tue)00:54:50 No. 1486361 Republicans and trump are looking more and more to be BTFO in the midterms so trump just wants to openly steal the election now. It's all so tiresome. https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/5719458-trump-suggests-republican-voting-takeover/ President Trump suggested in an interview with former FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino on Monday that Republicans should “take over” the voting process in more than a dozen states ahead of the November midterms. “The Republicans should say, ‘We want to take over — we should take over the voting — the voting in at least many, 15 places,’” Trump told Bongino in the interview. “The Republicans ought to nationalize the voting.” The president also reiterated false claims that he won the 2020 election and said that “we have states that I won that show I didn’t win.” White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson said in a statement when asked about the president’s comments that Trump “cares deeply about the safety and security of our elections.” “That’s why he’s urged Congress to pass the SAVE Act and other legislative proposals that would establish a uniform standard of photo ID for voting, prohibit no-excuse mail-in voting, and end the practice of ballot harvesting,” she said, referring to legislation that would require proof of citizenship in order to register to vote. The Trump administration has sought to nationalize some aspects of the electoral system, including by requesting states to turn over voter rolls to the Justice Department. The Justice Department has sued about two dozen states for refusing to turn over the data, which includes personal information pertaining to individuals’ Social Security numbers and driver’s license numbers, in a push to make sure states are maintaining compliance in keeping up their voter rolls. While some states have complied with the Trump administration’s requests, most have not given the administration voter roll data with associated sensitive information. >>
Anonymous 02/03/26(Tue)00:56:04 No. 1486362 The latest comments are likely to unnerve Democrats, who have already raised worries that Trump will seek to interfere in the coming elections. Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), for example, suggested in a recent interview with CNN that the president was trying to meddle in the November midterms. “Donald Trump has made it clear that he intends to try to interfere in the upcoming 2026 election. He says that his one regret from 2020 was that he didn’t take the voting machines,” Murphy said. Murphy also took issue with a letter Attorney General Pam Bondi sent asking Minnesota to provide voter rolls. “And it is really alarming that, in this letter, Bondi says, ‘Well, we will get the ICE officers out of Minneapolis if you give us control of your voter lists,’” he said, referring to a letter from Bondi in which she requested that Minnesota produce several items, including the state’s voter rolls. >>

Anonymous 02/04/26(Wed)23:35:16 No. 1486834 >>1486818 You're correct, but the problem we have now is not that there are parties, but that only two of them have any power, and have rigged the system by various means to ensure that only they have power, In the present day even those two parties are basically an illusion, effectively a corporatocracy that flips faces every few years to give the illusion of choice while wealthy get an ever larger slice of the pay. Which is not to say there aren't substantive differences, especially since Trump skinsuited the Republican party, but mostly they're picking around the edges of the fundamental structures of US society and economy. US politics have stagnated into a 2 party system basically ever since the Civil War. Those parties have undergone dramatic shifts in that time, but both have also consistently prevented effective fracturing of their blocks. Even the occasional 3rd party upstart focused on a single persons vision (RIP Bull Moose) both consistently fails and doesn't change that Congress itself is 99% 2 party with the occasional localized voice, usually another independent personality rather than an actual representative of another named political movement. The best I can think of is the Progressive movement, but even that only gained power in some states, not the Federal government, where some of their ideas were taken over by both Republicans and Democrats, neutering the threat to their power. To bring this back to the actual topic, parties will always exist, but in the US until the 1860s and in many countries today they are a fluid thing, with parties forming and dissolving as politics shift. But now political shifts in the US can only occur within strongly corrupted two parties, which won't allow others to exist, and there's no easy way I see that breaking without the country breaking with it.>>

The problem is that the American people cannot be trusted with the responsibility to elect leaders. During the general people have an incredibly wide variety of candidates to choose from. They could throw their votes behind any of them but a) they don't bother to even educate themselves about who is running and rely on internet talking heads to inform them b) they're easily fooled into unwavering party loyalty with absolutely no examination as to why. If we got rid of the two party system tomorrow nothing would be different. The same parties would spring up with different names playing the same exact game because Americans are retarded. An uninformed populace is incapable of making reasonable political decisions. We have the parties because people are stupid not the other way around.>>
Anonymous 02/05/26(Thu)00:11:06 No. 1486840 >>1486836 >During the general people have an incredibly wide variety of candidates to choose from No they don't. At most it's 4 before you get into parties that don't get on the ballot in more than a handful of states (usually a single state), and even the Greens and Libertarians often don't get the paperwork to be on every ballot. Aside from that, they simply get nearly zero coverage from the corporate media (see corporatocracy) and even independent media won't do it simply because they're written off as never winning. Other nations have laws to ensure equal airtime, along with many other benefits to even fringe contenders. The US doesn't have most of them, and the few that exist have bars too high to be met, and you can bet they'll get raised higher if any other parties look like they might meet them. Ironically, your accusation of the ignorance of others reveals your own about just how fucking stacked the deck is. Political movements like Occupy Wall Street or the Tea Party that draw in enormous amounts of engagement and political capitol are quickly coopted, neutered or demonized as necessary to remove their threat to the existing power structures and encourage apathy, which manifests in the low voting rates. But apathy is not the same problem as ignorance, and can't be treated the same or dismissed.>>

Simplify what constitutes as federal or national laws and vote accordingly. There doesnt need to be a middle man. Education comes at the speed of the internet. False statements about statistics and misinformation would fall on every individual. More elaborate scams and cons would easily be identified if the sources are made public. The job of politicians should be ascertain facts for the public. Not impede progress with their personal opinions. I think the "powers that be" are simply trying to entangle more political rivalry and Cond elusion to avoid this for their personal profiteering.>>

A bunch of Dunning-Kruger, waste-of-oxygen blowhards that think they are successful because they did business(es). The fact they spent most of their inheritance or generational wealth proving up their failing ventures wasn't their fault. It was the markets. Now they have shifted to social politics to "early-retire" so they can take it easy on their bleeding trust-funds. The whole damn politics scene is standing-room-only failures who think they are the only smart one in the room. They validate it by comparing personal financial value and rate of increase. If they all died, nature would hardly notice. The race would replace them without missing a beat. And life would go on. But these people that think they are all our masters. They pretend will be remembered for the ages and beloved. No one will know them after few years.
