I remember as a kid being told Jesse Jackson was the lowest of the low scum of the earth by all of the grown ups in my life, and took that to heart.But as I got older, I realized no one had ever actually told me what he had said or done that was so much more egregious than your standard politician.So why he bring out so much anger in older white people I knew growing up? Can't be the infidelity, those same older white people worship the current Philanderer in Chief. Being opportunistic in his messaging? That's practically a requirement of politics.So why so much hate for him in particular?
