what are some driving skills you must acquire in order to graduate from noob driver to pro driver?
is it just parallel parking or there's more?
>>
FBI maneuever
>>
>knowing your and your car's limits
>knowing how to pay attention and maintain awareness
that's 95% of driving

Switching to the right lane when there is a pro (noob) driver behind you
>>
Ripping phat skids
>>
Rev matching and downshifting
>b-but I drive a le aut-
GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY
>>
It's just faster and faster parallel parking

For example I can parallel park at over 40 mph and I'm pretty based
>>
Watch hundreds of hours of dash cam videos like they're training videos.
See the unseen and develop your spatial awareness.
Try to predict the mistakes others will make before they make them.

>Indicating for the whole three seconds before changing lanes
>merging efficiency
>remaining calm in all situations

The real driving safety redpill is to make all your merges/lane changes/speed changes/signals either too long or jerky and erratic to throw off other drivers around you and get them out of autopilot
>>
knowing how to drift
>>
>left foot braking
>heel toe downshifting
How has no one mentioned this do you guys even drive
>>
>>28592794
left foot braking is a meme that notrackers have been falling for over many years.

if someone is hovering in your blind spot just turn on your blinker, they'll either pull back or immediately speed up but either way they're no longer in your blind spot

Being able to take 150mph Turns at the track at Wide open throttle without binning it.
>>
>>28592806
I left foot brake on public roads And on track.
It's simply faster.

you want a fuckin' medal of honor for driving to the dollar store and back for 20 years cletus?
>>
>>28592809
I can afford a late model mildly sport daily that I open up now again, I can't afford to beat the fucking shit out of it on a track. that's like 90% of car enthusiasts.
I had a distant in-law drive me around in his Ferrari 458 and was duly impressed, but a youtube video I saw of some dude THRASHING his 911 on a track with traffic was the most incredible display of wealth & car hobby I've ever seen.
>>
>anticipation
Simply by looking down the road and making a judgement you will be doing more than 90 percent of drivers
>no hesitation
Trust your eyes. If there’s nothing coming then there’s no point in hanging around to make sure you aren’t hallucinating
>keep your distance
If there is a mile of traffic up ahead there is nothing to be gained from sitting on the rear bumper of the car in front
>lane position
Don’t drive in the gutter. Don’t drive in the opposite lane
>overtaking
There’s nothing wrong with overtaking slower moving traffic
>selective speeding
Speeding on the boomer road next to the school where everyone has cameras and there are cops everywhere is retarded and will get you in the shit. Speed is a treat. Treat yourself to it and enjoy it solo
>>
i think that learning how to accelerate from a stop smoothly, as well as brake and come to a stop smoothly without that jerky lurch is big, in terms of ride comfort. also, learning how to fit through tight squeezes effectively without just guessing.
>>
>>28592636
Learning and applying whatever speed gets you through all the lights on local roads without stopping. Here it's about 5 under the speed limit, pisses everyone off but no matter how fast they fly by im always greeting them at the next light
>>
>>28592637
You mean getting the Epstein files disappear?
>>
>>28592806
Idk they told us in the advanced driving school we better learn do that.
>>28592879
This.

Line the front of your car up with the front wheel of the car you are parking behind. Turn your wheel all the way, back in until the front of your car passes the outside back corner of car in front of you. Turn your wheel the other way, keep backing up. Straighten out.

It's really easy once you learn to use the car that you're parking behind as a reference

It's possible to rev match automatics so long as they have selectable shifting. Just have to work with what you've got.
>>28592899
>tfw still can't parallel park properly
Driving a forklift actually helped me with that one. Feels pretty much the same, without the forks that is.
>>
>>28593955
It's impossible in cars released after the 2000s without a camera because the back glass is at some retarded angle that really kills rear visbiilty.
>>

>It's possible to rev match automatics so long as they have selectable shifting
Don't they do that, idk, AUTOMATICALLY?
>>
once 80% of your predictions about traffic behavior come true

Rev matching, simply because it makes for a smoother drive. I always forget how rough down shifting is until I get in a car with a non-car person driving.
