Cars in general are expensive to begin with in japland

USA is a physically larger place than Europe or Japan, no shit the larger cars here would not work for the smaller enviornments across the pond.

Its the same as walkable cities, it logistically can never happen due to how much distance you need to traverse this giant place.

It's why we have Auto infrastructure, to get around this massive place efficiency.

american cars don't make sense in japan because you cannot profit from making cool cars in a place like that, it's got alot of regulations against having fun and having big comofortable cars, you have to build tiny economic sad shitty cars to be profitable in japan, you could not sell something like a 71 ltd into japan because they could not fit it anywhere or pay for the fuel and there's not enough people willing to put up with a >400ci v8, yeah it's cool but it's not practical, japanese people are not fun or cool.

USDM in Japan is very similar to JDM in the US. People went crazy over my c5 there
>>
On my trips to japan I saw a lot of usdm cars there. The h2 and h3 hummer seem to be super popular as just about every used car dealer had 1 on thier lots. American full size trucks have a pretty big following too. There was at least 6 tricked out chevy silverados when I went to daikoku PA. The issue is for the average Japanese cars are kind of a luxury item and just basic transportation. A chevy volt is basically a large car there. For a US manufacturer to really succeed they would need to make a Mazda 3 size or smaller car and that car would have to be very cheap. That said USDM car culture does have a very healthy following and you see a lot of US cars at the different car meets.
>>
Why not just ask
>why american cars fail in America
At that point
And the answer is that American companies haven't put any effort into anything that wasn't a truck or sports car in over 30 years

Another thing you guys seem to forget about life in Japan is that it's centered around the train station. At worst, everyone lives a half hour walk from the train station, the only exceptions are if you live out in the boonies, and even then there's bus service that will take you to the train station and you can move from there, and the train station has everything. Supermarket? train station, fishmongers? train station, shopping mall? train station, bank? train station, realtor? train station, hospital? train station, sports arena/concert venue? train station, municipality/government/embassies, train station.

Everything is within reach of the train station, which is why they refuse to create any sort of road infrastructure that would allow cars, and why they're so restricted to the point they're much more of an enthusiast or rich family thing than something anyone needs to move around in, Cause everything is based on public transportation, and everything is either in, or right next to, the train station.

>>

the size of a country has nothing to do with any of that, only the design of cities, which the US has failed at spectacularly for the last 70 years or so. china is technically larger than the USA yet has amazing public transit, walkable cities and a massive high speed rail network

This isn't an actual problem in Europe, shitty dutch youtubers and bongs over inflate this "issue".
You can find RAMs and F150s on our roads, it's just they are bought by either wealthy farmers (people who need them) or show offs,
they just aren't considered a "daily driver".
Yes, partially because most Europeans living under the Artic Circle don't need to travel an hour on the highway to get to the local department store, but it is not like American cars are impossible to own.

The main reason I would say that American cars falter in Europe is because poor people buy shit that is cheap to maintain, so old VAGs,
while wealthy people buy brands, and American car brands haven't had any prestige in like 50 years.

it's mostly the elderly but there are younger people too, the cops police them effectively and force them out of the public eye. panhandling like you see in the usa with dudes standing in the middle of the road or out on the sidewalk with signs is explicitly illegal. in some places it's also illegal to give money.

you can have really low numbers if you shame people into not reporting that they exist
japan has an unusually high proportion of "disappeared" people which are by and large the homeless you say don't exist.

it's not a conspiracy, it's evidence of their culture at work.
the cops are strictly tasked with enforcing public harmony and in doing so force the homeless people into hiding, which suits the hobos just fine because everyone leaves them alone anyway, so they just do it. you don't see them because they know where to hide better than a 2-week amerifat tourist knows to look. the fact you saw one even proves conclusively that there must be more.

roads in japan are on average a full foot and a half narrower than in burgerland. there are some roads that you can barely fit a kei truck down.
>>
>>28598329
>it's a claim that the government as a whole made a secret plan
now you're just being a disingenuous kike putting words in my mouth

the japanese police do indeed have a policy to politely ask homeless people to not be visible in public spaces.
absolutely nobody claimed the japanese homeless were being rounded up, but there is a significant discrepancy in the suspiciously low amount of japanese homeless (a self reported statistic, influenced by social pressure and the above police policy) and the humongous amount of people who literally just blip "out of existence" every year. obviously a large amount of japanese "disappeared" people simply become homeless and stop participating in society thereby qualify as having disappeared, so there are far more than barely 2000 japanese homeless.

I live in the boonies here. You definitely want a car (hence everyone owns one). Otherwise it's an hourly bus to the train station that has 1 line that runs hourly to a 10-15min walk to the supermarket. Or you can bike a few miles to the other supermarket.
The problem with american cars in Japan, is that they simply aren't competitive. Japs love a lot of American cars like mustangs, corvettes, etc. And for sports cars, American cars are starting to make in-roads IMO because high HP jap sports cars haven't advanced since 2007 (r35) and other people just like americana and they can afford it.
But for the basic daily drivers & trucks that make up 99% of cars here, it makes no sense to buy american unless you want to throw away money for looks, and most people can't afford to do that. So they buy a kei truck for $9000 (new), or a kei car for $10-12k (new), or they buy used. Used, you can get an insane amount of value here because everything is low-mileage and well-maintained.
The shaken (inspection) price differences, the extra taxes per year, etc. are all pretty minor to me because it's only an extra $100-200/year or something for a nicer car vs a mini kei car. But for people working on a budget of $2,000/month I've been told that adds up and they can't afford it, or it just makes more sense to rent periodically (costco runs 2x/month, trips, etc.) and use public transportation for day-to-day stuff for the city-dwellers.

They've already accepted millions of immigrants, and it's destroying the country.
Get it through your fucking thick skull, immigrants don't save things.
1.) They literally destroy your race via replacement
2.) They don't even bring in economic benefits, because their criminality, scamming, and low productivity mean they're a net drain (inb4 someone tries to claim that africans and indians are just as low-crime as native japanese)
