y'all ever snipped your frenulum with a rusty side cutter before? Shit's fuckin wild. Straight euphoric.

Buy a Honda.
>>
>>28595609
It's because car ""enthusiasts"" include people who like jeeps because they make them feel tough, people who like to go fast in a straight line, people who jerk off to expensive SUVs and trucks and don't actually care about the driving experience, they just want to flex luxury items
>>
>>28595609
All communities end up like this. You get groups of elitists who think that they are more knowledgable and smarter than everyone else. I also see this in the IT and gun community. I choose to just not interact with the community and enjoy the hobbies by myself. The truth is most of the ones that are asshole actually don’t know much about the hobby anyway. I suspect they hide behind the asshole facade to hide their ignorance.
>>
>>28595627
>people who jerk off to expensive SUVs and trucks and don't actually care about the driving experience, they just want to flex luxury items
this applies to 99% of people that idolize porsche and talk about nothing but exotics they'll never own (mclarens, lambos, ferraris, etc) as well.
>>
>>28595627
biggest assholes are Toyotacucks
Jeeps folks are super chill
>>
>>28595627
and miata/GR yaris/"le cute small car" drivers. people who race around parking lots and shit on anyone who owns anything nicer than them.
>>
>>28595623
wait till you get a paper cut down your urethra
>>
>>28595636
t. Jeep Renegade (Not a real Jeep) owner
>>
>>28595639
literally never seen "le cute small car" driver do that. if they do, it's a very very small minority.
>>
>>28595639
Le cute small car drivers enjoy driving light, nimble cars. I feel like you're projecting, spending more money doesn't mean a better driving experience. But that's the difference between a driving enthusiast and a car enthusiast
>>
>>28595647
all the people triggered by trucks shill kei shit that nobody wants simply because its small.
>>28595649
looks like found the kinds of people triggered by Jeeps and trucks.
>I feel like you're projecting
while you do the same to anyone who drives whatever you don't like lmao!
>>
oh it's just the stupid faggot that's obsessed with hating kei trucks
>>
>>28595609
are they? Keep in mind almost no one on this board is a car enthusiast
>>
>>28595659
this website is like 9:1 shitposter:[topic of the board] enthusiast
>>
>>28595656
The only thing I actively shittalk are modern truck owners that don't use them for work or hauling, and people who get jeeps too look tought despite them being stelantis garbage. It's not for driving experience, it's not because comfort, it's not for relaibility, it's because they identify is WW2 soldiers.
I don't care if someone gets a comfy fuel efficient exonobox or SUV because they need a grocery getter and commuter, but they dont enjoy the driving experience. It's just comfy, cheap transportation and that's fine
>>
>>28595671
>Its okay for miata/GR yaris/le smol car redditor in general to not use their cars for their intended purpose
>its okay that they larp as caring about the "driving experience" when a camaro drives better than all of them

you're the same kike from>>28595174 and are posting the same self contradicting shit.
>>
>>28595627
But the worst of them all is those who like small lightweight and affordable cars with zippy little engines that handle like a gokart
Those creatures are insufferable
>>
>>28595609
It’s usually the Chevy and dodge fags
>>
>>28595689
Still preferable to landbarge enthusiasts.
>>
>>28595689
this but unironically.

if they cared about any of that, they'd buy a cheaper better handling camaro. meanwhile fags like that are seething at men who have families and want a long lasting product that holds value simply because they're incels who are "only into 2D".
>>
I read this is

>why have car enthusiasts assholes?
>>
>>28595684
Oh heavens no, I'm not a satanic pediphile. Christ is king and I only put Japanese and German parts in my cars when I can help it
>>
>>28595636
Jeep folks Became chill, for the longest time they were the absolute worst faggots in the offroad/truck/SUV faction for car enthusiasts. Toyota only recently came up due to zoomers growing up hearing about Toyota reliability and muh technicals, while jeep's hilarious failure to go upmarket ended up removing the worst of their ranks.
>>
>>28595698
Cars are depreciating assets, if you really wanted to focus on family you'd get something like a cheap Honda fit that will last for ever with regular maintenance while still having very high cargo capacity
>>
>>28595694
>T. fordlet
>>28595697
I dont care about landbarges
I like fast cars with adequate engine sizes which send power ONLY to the rear wheels, that are somewhat expensive so poorfags dont ruin the perception
so on the low end, muscle cars, mid tier, BMWs, and high end, porsches.
>>
>>28595709
>cars depreciate and break down eventually. so you might as well go buy a yugo
notice how the substitute for a truck is always something worse while "le lightweight driving experience" enthusiast all have better and cheaper options than what they supposedly want.
>>
>>28595656
>People who only like small cars only like small cars reeeeeeeeeee
Different people have different tastes, you just choose to get upset about it. If everyone liked what I like nothing would be interesting.
>>
Whats with the weird truck guy? Why does he even come to this board. He must be passed off everyday of his life here. You're just in the wrong place barking up the wrong tree. Its like complaining that nobody here is into your automatic Mitsubishi mirage. This just isn't the community for you
>>
>>28595731
tell the niggers seething at trucks that.
>>
>>28595734
trucks were always adored by /o/ like any other vehicle type. it wasn't until /r/fuckcar redditors flooded this place that it became a problem.

>>
I distinctly remember /o/ photoshopping and making fun of some Chevy truck in like 2014. This revisionism that we all use to like trucks is dumb.
Moderns trucks for the SAME reason modern cars suck. I'm not going to pretend to like trucks just for political bullshit reasons to please some newfag who gets his feelings hurt everytine an f150 gets called gay. Get thicker skin. Learn to take a comment you don't like. Don't expect everyone here to change just to not offend you. Prissy bitch.
>>
>>28595609
It's why all my friends and Mommy's are now non car people
>>
>>28595632
This as a ex it and gunfag it's bad
There's still small pockets of auto culture I love like the gambler 5000 and shitbox rally here in aus and lifted sedans and utes

So funny cutting up trails in falcons watching 4x4 SUV Karen tradies mouths drop
>>
>>28595753
>someone made fun of car design like /o/ has with any car
>this means they were against trucks
you probably don't remember Ford and Toyota general being co-inhabited by people who owned trucks, and nobody obsessed over how much they used their bed or brought up "masculinity".

kill yourself.
>>
>>28595609
Cars for a good chunk of the world are a luxury item only truly afforded by the very rich while everyone else takes the bus, so car enthusiasts include those that are more hobbyists, and anyone on a hobby knows that there is turbo faggotry in hobbies
>>
>>28595763
When did I say I'm against trucks? When did I bring up bed use or masculinity? Who are you arguing with cause it clearly isn't me

>>
>>28595609
Well everyone proved you right almost immediately. It's really more an internet thing though. If you actually get into cars in real life, you'll meet a lot of nice and knowledgeable people. Especially if you join a club for a specific car or start spending time at the track.
>>
>>28595739
truck as testosterone therapy is a relatively new phenomena
>>
>>28595792
the people mentioning it are also relatively new fags, if our board's declining quality is any measure.
>>
>>28595781
Pretty much. Used to be a lot of them at the last place I worked and we were always happy when someone else got something cool. We all used to race at least once a week after our shift ended and nobody really gave anybody shit about what kind of car they had beyond a few jokes here and there. I miss those guys so much man.
>>
For like 90% of people cars are a means to an end. Being a car guy is like being the top mod on r/toasters. Nobody else gives a fuck about toasters so long as it toasts but you're going the toast-9000 has the ideal heat to burn ratio bla bla bla

Over time people get more and more miserable, or fall out of love with their hobby. When you first enter something everything feels great, but one new model comes out, and all you have are complaints about it is the tipping point when people show their true colors. Just look at the Mini community now.
>>
Genuinely wealthy ones aren't.
>>
>>28595609
Because it's all people who obsess over something really stupid. Are you an expert mechanic? Race driver? Own a shop? Rent out cars / run a nurburgring cab? No? Then why are you spending a significant amount of time and/or tying your ego to cars?

>>28596373
This is absolutely true. Once you are invested, you hit the sunk cost fallacy too. It's also hoping to be associated with things by extension - being a risk taker, being skilled, or wealthy.

>>28596527
Genuinely wealthy people usually have better shit to do than to go to cars and coffee.
>>
>>28596373
This is true, but also whenever someone buys a fast and cool car, people tend to project their OWN insecurities of buying a car as a status symbol onto that person.
>You bought an M4? That's a status symbol unlike my honda civic si which is a le drivers car
Poor people want to bring down everyone with them, they resort to toxicity and projection of their own insecurities.
>>
>>28595609
The automotive hobby, be it the roads, the drivers, or the market, was what redpilled me on gender, race, and economics. Before it was all loose theory in my mind, now it's cold hard reality.
>>
>>28596580
Don't shit on the Si, the old ones are sex. I watch so many videos about how the new CTR has the best shifter ever, driver engagement, some other bullshit. The 8th gen Si is literally better in every regard in terms of feel. Also

> M4
> not M2
>>
Because every idiot with money thinks a car purchase comes with a superior opinion
>>
>>28595609
-Because cars as a hobby is dying which generally makes people resentful towards their hobby as a coping mechanism because in their mind if it's shit then there's nothing to lose.
-because they're poor and know they'll never be able to truly afford to fully appreciate this hobby before it's dead
-because theres over a hundred years of engineering and development that's gone into making cars what they are today and so highschool dropouts learn and cling on to 1% of that information, make it their entire personality and think they know everything because its all they know. They might know 1% more than another retard who thinks they know a different 1% but both are too stupid to realize that they both are retards.
>>
>>28595609
I see OP offers a lot of unsolicited opinions and advice on other people's vehicles.

That's why. It's not yours, shut the fuck up about it. I don't give a fuck if you think it would look better painted white, or with stanced 22s. Your opinion is shit. Your knowledge is lacking. Just say "Nice car" and move on.
>>
ironically the last sanctuary of non-toxic car hobbyism lies in the nigger-adjecent cultures.
you can rip skids at a takeover in a Miata and you'll still have people apeing and hollering
go full throttle swimming in a 200hp FWD shitbox and guys in M4s will patiently hang on your tail just to keep the party going

There's nothing ironic about it. Blacks enjoy the simple things in life. Big horsepower. Doing donuts. Flashy colors and loud exhaust. Beating women who act up.
It's whites who have been constantly neutered into not enjoying the simple things, like you have to be a special snowflake to prove how intelligent and sophisticated you are.

Modern cuckovers in general are this bad. Cushy smooth rides that turn into uncontrollable noodle madness the moment you need to do anything more intense than Grandma would pull.
>>
>>28598501
My ex's 3rd gen Escape Titanium was pretty decent for a CUV. It was tight enough to coax some trail brake oversteer out of and the AWD sends enough power to the back to do little baby slides in the snow before the stability control kicks in. And it was decently quick with the 2.0L EcoBoost.
>>
>>28598501
The renegade is actually quite good in terms of handling. The nose dive clip is from when they first released. Id argue it proves the chassis rigidity is not bad at all. It tracked straight under full braking on 2 wheels... It was a wrong setting in the brake bias from the factory. The 1.4L is the same engine from the abarth too. add some basic bolt ons with a tune . you have something that sounds and drives like a dream but its a jeep renegade.

>>
>>28601457
This. "car guys" and guys that race are vastly different. I work with a bunch of "car guys" and they basically just memorize trivial factoids and have idiotic brand loyalties and shit. Oh if it has a sunroof then it's an ex.. no one cares. Arguing over stock production cars and other inane shit. Basically the boomer version of car culture. They've never welded or pressed a bearing or been within 500 yards of a track, but boy let them tell you what a car guy they are.

Whereas racers are far more into mechanics, engineering, material science, fabrications, you know all the ACTUAL car guy shit. They don't name their cars or treat them with "love" they beat them like they owe money because that's what it's built for.

It's a very cringe dichotomy where one is clueless yet highly confident and the other is silent. Also elitism is a good thing. Elitism keeps out dipshits so the culture can remain as pure as possible. This goes for every literally every subculture.
>>
>>28595609
