Would you rather drive a newer BMW with 100k miles on it or a newer Toyota with 100k miles? Obviously, for us Americans the choice is Toyota but what do other anons think?
BMW. I've never had issues with BMWs, I have been left stranded by toyotas.
Toyota. I've never had issues with Toyotas, I have been left stranded by bmws.

>>28597938Well, I'm not a raging homosexual, and I actually know how to drive, so it would have to be the Toyota.

Gotta let us know the maintenance history on both. Also modern BMWs have plastic parts that approach end of life around 60-80k miles (oil filter housing, coolant pipe) so those will need to be replaced as part of regular maintenence.
>>28597938I'd take the BMW and sell it. Has higher resell value most likely. Then buy a brand new Toyota.
of course the toyota will come out less expensive in the long run. but it's a premium brand vs economy brand.as long as the bmw was maintained it should be fine, especially ones with B48, B58 engines. the bmw reliabiltiy stereotype comes from young kids buying the n54 335i's, clapping and tuning them out, and then they got to money for maintenance, and then they sell it for the unlucky personwho takes the car that needs everything switched in the engine bay, "BMW UNRELIABLE!"if you love driving I don't know why would you pick a Toyota over a BMW, no matter the circumstance.

>>28601250Most new BMWs are being leased to people who have no idea how cars work and are happy to pay another $5k after three years to get into a new lease on a status signaling device. It's the second owner who gets to deal with the planned parts obsolescence. Mercedes does the same thing. Mercedes were overengineered tanks until the mid-90s when Daimler Benz realized they could cut corners, and by the time anyone finds out, the warranty will have have expired.
