I am in Europe and I need a do-everything box. Can you do better than this?
A lot better.
>do-everything boxHow are you going to escape into the woods with that pitiful clearance?
>>28598237you can buy toyota in europe, so just get a corolla.
>>28598303That thing (vRS or not) is basically the standard family car around here.
>>28598316>just get a corolla NPC car for plebbitors
>>28598237
>>28598316better that, a lexus
>>28598388Those aren't really a thing in yurop aside for like a handful of gray imports, unless it's some gay crossover
>>28598354and an audi a4 estate is what? a patrician's car?
>>28598398Lexus sedans are not hard to find in my country. Bit pricey, though. And I don't think they made wagon versions of those.
>>28598429They made an IS wagon (aka Toyota Altezza Gita) in one of its generations. Also cuckovers are close, but Lexus-branded look more like hatchbacks, the rear window is far from vertical.
>>28598427>audi a4 estate is what?Vastly superior to a corolla in style and driving experience, while still being pedestrian.
>>28598455>while still being pedestrianDoes that mean it breaks so often you get used to walking?
>>28598455The latest Corolla (E210) isn't completely terrible. Having driven both recently, I'd say it's somewhere on the level of a 20 year old low-end Audi. The Audi rattled quite a bit and its diesel was noisy, but it might have had slightly less road noise. The cars had identical tires.
>>28598469No, but yes.t. VW owner>>28598471In America only soulless people who don’t care at all about cars drive Corollas and Camrys. If you are determined to get a Jap box, get an Avalon or a Honda.
>>28598478>In America only soulless people who don’t care at all about cars drive Corollas and Camrysin the UK, the Audi A3/4 are soulless cars driven by wagies as their company car.
>>28598478Hondas are overpriced as fuck here, and their importer gave up after a total of 203 Honda cars were sold last year.I don't think the Avalon has ever been sold here. Not many buy fuckhueg sedans, especially Japanese ones. Lexus does seem to offer one for the oddball types.
>>28598498How would you describe the traits of someone who drives a corolla in the UK? >>28598505Since Jeremy Clarkson’s Top Gear got cancelled, it’s harder for me to keep up with what models are available in Europe. It’s hard for me to even envision what I would drive if I lived in Europe. My VW was available, but I don’t think it’s 2.5 5cyl was. My pickup definitely isn’t available I assume a F150, and I probably wouldn’t want to drive it in Europe if it is available.
>>28598532>someone who drives a corolla in the UK?new ones, pretty much old people. pensioners. older ones, people like myself, who understand it's a quality brand (well, used to be) and you're getting a lot of car for like 1-2 grand. But in the UK, most cars are worth fuck all after 10-15 years, because our climate rots them away.
>>28598537I don’t deny older Corollas are a very reliable, and well built vehicle. Most of our 10-20 year old ones are being loaded into shipping containers and sent to Africa.
>>28598558>Most of our 10-20 year old ones are being loaded into shipping containers and sent to Africa.it's a damn shameyou used to be able to get bargain prados (we call them colorados here) in this country, but since the Ukraine/Russia war started, people have been sending MOT failures off to Ukraine instead of selling them as spares/repairs cars. Fucking raving. Not just prados, older discos, mitsubishi l200s/shoguns(pajeros), etc. Lots of still repairable cars, sent off to the meat grinder.
>>28598498Not an A4 estate thoughbeit
>>28598537To be honest I care more about ride comfort and interior quality than perceived reputation. Is the A4 good in that respect?
>>28598364Terrible fuel economy. You will get raped by fuel prices in Jewrope.
>>28598873that's why they have a diesel option for euros
>>28598881The diesel assplodes regularly. Total POS engine
Surely the answer is a W211/ W212 wagon
>>28598237>do-everything box
>>28598532>My pickup definitely isn’t available I assume a F150They're not illegal at least in Finland. I've seen a few F150s and Rams around here on occasion.I don't think they build them anywhere near Europe, though. Slap some vehicle tax on the cost of bringing one here and it might end up being over 100k €. Few people would pay that without a serious business plan for the thing.
>>28598532>My pickup definitely isn’t available I assume a F150, and I probably wouldn’t want to drive it in Europe if it is available. You can get big American pickups in Europe, they're viewed very differently here though. They're either driven by Ameriboos or gardeners, they don't have any status here.
>>28599039>they don't have any status here.What
>>28599045I mean they're just seen as mundane work vehicles, whereas in the US they're more like status symbols and little brown men buy them to look tough.
>>28599047I bet you're not from Europe.
>>28599047This. Dailying one is like going shopping wearing dirty coveralls or something.
>>28599039>they don’t have any status hereI know I’m weird, but things like status are the last thing on my mind when choosing a vehicle. I pick vehicles that I think are cool, or unique to me. The closest I get to thinking about status is can I explain why I’m into this to my car enthusiast friends. I don’t have significantly less money than my friends, but I have much cheaper and older vehicles.
>>28599052
>>28599074Ah, a bit of trolling then. >>28599039Can't say about the US, but in the EU most of the tradesmen ("gardeners") I saw with pickups were using non-American midsizes, including locally assembled like Nissans from Spain (so no import taxes) or VWs. I've seen some companies and even government agencies using small fleets of American full size imports, usually 2500 and heavier, but most look like they are in private hands. Full size imports do have a "status": they are viewed as "cool cars" and attract some attention, especially if in good condition.
>>28598455>Vastly superior to a corolla in style and driving experiencewe asked you about the A4, a fucking VAGina consumer product, if you will.not a BMW.
>>28599109I am the V in Vagina, and all modern BMW motors are over pressured plastic hand grenades moments from detonating. Also, they are predominantly driven by brown people wearing to much cologne.t. Daily’s 15 year old VaginaW
>>28598308There's no wilderness left in Europe.
>>28598308god gave you legsuse them
>do it allit’s a meme. you will never have a track weapon that lets you go on hunting trips with your family and friends. no, an RS6 does not
>>28598945>europe
>>28598237Nothing beats an eighth or ninth gen V6 Accord in EX or Touring trim. Literally more of a luxury sports sedan than the Acuras. Comfort and handling. Acceleration and mileage. It's the patrician choice......is what I would say, if every accord on the market was not being bought at any price by retarded jeets and you can literally buy porches for cheaper now.
>>28598237945 is always the answer
>>28598942I back this
>>28598316Too expensive. Expensive replacement parts. That's why Toyota is reportedly struggling in Western Europe. They should build more distribution centers to provide cheaper replacement parts.
>>28599749>ysäriHyi vittu ei. Kaasari seiska vielä menee, pilattu ruiskun myötä.
>>28602149Can't agree with that. The Corolla is so common in my country that all sorts of aftermarket replacement & tuning parts are plentiful. Many of the components are fairly simple too, at least compared to some of the weird shit they put into Mercs.I suppose things might get expensive if you somehow break the hybrid system or something.
>>28599408Did you look at the A4 in the image and think "OP really wants to track that"?
