I am about to buy a 2009 mini cooper s. I can't seem to stop myself.
>>
That would be the worst by far.
>>
worst was a 2012 civic automatic base spec. terrible.

best, surprisingly, was a 2002 grand cherokee v8. that thing was fantastic

Not me but a family member bought a 2012 Mini Cooper S. Nothing but trouble.

Friend bought a dorky Honda Clarity and their wiring was made of onions and he came out to a dead car one morning. Rats like eating the wiring. Was a known issue but Honda said it wasnt covered under warranty. Sold it and vowed to never buy another Honda. Heh.

Bought a Prius and realized not all Toyotas are reliable.
Bought a Mazda and it has the most fucked up programming imaginable, burns oil, and all kinds of warning lights pop up (it's fucking 2 years old, need to sell asap before more serious issues surface).

I keep getting fucked on shitboxes just to get me to work which is why I lurk here to learn what isn't shit. I did have a rav4 for 9 years that never gave any real problems other than the suspension going to shit early.

1996 Chevy Corsica. It seemed like a fine commuter for $2K and was elder-owned so low-mileage, but no. Rust had ravaged the bottomside more than my visual inspection led me to believe and it was toast within a year.

1986 300zx non turbo 5 speed. Was only 1000 bucks but it was so nigger rigged and beaner rigged on top of it being an 80s nissan and old in general (see: rotted vacuum line and dashpot hell), it was way more headache and bullshit than it was worth. Still though when it wasn't being a giant pain in the cock it was pretty fun despite being slow, especially with the t-tops off (which also by some fucking miracle didn't even leak while the hatch and tail lights leaked like a sieve).

Forgot to add "parts availability? Lol, lmao"

A Ford Ranger and then 1st Nissan Titan. They were both rock solid, trouble free and drove fine.
But why I the fuck did I even buy them, I don't even like truggs

I financed a nearly decade old Lincoln MKS at 10% in like 2017.
Don't do drugs, kids.
Reality started to set in when they started talking about installing the immobilizer.

>I can't seem to stop myself.
why? what do you like about the car so much that you feel forced to buy it?
If you name it, I'm sure we can easily list 10 cars that share the same attribute, cost less AND are way more reliable

>the model with the prince engine
unironically if you're going to buy one of these shitboxes get the previous gen, the prince engine sucks the absolute fattest piece of shit
