is it bad that i want a old 90s shitbox RWD 6 cylinder?
>>
>>28599390
Bad for you, given that most of them have been scrapped at this point or are overpriced.
>>
>>28599390
Nope, they're better than the slop on the roads today.
>>
>>28599390
Yes. Why do you want an old beat-up piece of shit car that costs as much as a new one?
>>
>>28599390
Whist I do like them, these things fall apart b4 your eyes. I'd go 2000s or newer GM with LS or Barra ford, or alternatively go full boomer and pick yourself up a nice mooscle car like a or something. Soaring house prices and cost of living are causing the bottom to fall out of the enthusiast car market in Aus. I just saw a mint HQ Statesman with a smallblock for 14k that I'd be jumping on if I wasn't trying to buy a house.

get a cressida, if they weren't used as drift missiles, they were otherwise owned by old people. engine infamous for head gaskets but once fixed it's deadset reliable. guy in qld sells pedals and brackets for a manual swap which btw is 110% worth it but parts csn be annoying to get

Old benz would be cool, like an W124 E class or something. They tend to hold up a bit better if you want to just float around in it and are comfy on our fucked roads. if you wanted to do pegleg burnouts tho maybe stick with the commo. LS400 also and as >>28599540
said Cressy is a good shout. Not much around these days that captures the barge feel of these sedans.
>>
>>28599390
Nah bro, they're sweet. There's a lot to like about older cars

Buy one, follow the maintenance schedule properly, and the Falcon will last. My family has had a '99 since it was just about new, and it has a bunch of cosmetic damage and a couple rusty panels now but the mechanicals all run like clockwork and the car has started every. single. time.

>look at the engine bay of a falcon from the late 90s
>look at the engine bay of a falcon from the mid 2010s
>mfw they look almost exactly the same
where the fuck was the budget for each generation of car going? the headlights?
no wonder the car industry died here

Ford did a line in pickups. You can get an eight if you look in the right places.
