Why the fuck is everything either a "sports sedan" with a shopping cart suspension, or a luxury boat with a -1.5L octuple turbo-charged hybrid CELmobile? Why can't we have a big, luxurious cruiser with a thiccboi v12 or a chonky v8? I want power and luxury. Every fucking car with luxury has shit-tier power, and every car with power has shit-tier luxury, a ride stiffer than Hunter Biden in a Chinese Massage Parlor, and bucket seats or pseudo-bucket seats with less padding than a fucking prison cot.

Bring back the luxury barges. I want a 6000lbs sedan that goes 0-60 in 3 seconds or less without some electric powertrain bullshit.

I understand your frustration. It's sad to say that the Xantia Activa was made in 1994 and suspension technology has not advanced any since then. There's no principle reason you can't have both comfortable bump eating and high G cornerability at the same time. For that matter, there's no reason you can't have nice comfortable seats and non-NPC primer coloured interiors either in any 'economy' car too, but people fucking around.

You don't want that in a croozer. You don't want to break the speed limit and spin into the ditch after 1.5 seconds of WOT.
What matters is part-throttle and especially off-idle response. A malaise barge with an infinity liter v8 and six horsepower feels great to drive because of the torque.
This could be done today while meeting emissions restrictions thanks to variable cam profiles. Simply give the base cam a shallow, lift-biased profile with no overlap. This will give you superb torque. Then, bump up the secondary cam to allow for passing within a few seconds (300 hp?) and all is good.
