2015 Audi A4
6-speed
125k miles
Asking $13k OTD. (They started at $18k wanting a $1600 cash penalty on top of the $13k advertised price and now they’re at 13 OTD)

Wrung her out on the solo test drive and she was tons of fun. Has good Continental tires and I put them to use. Paint and interior are in very good condition. But she smells of coolant and the mileage has me concerned.

Thoughts?

kek
I was driving through the affluent part of town the other day and saw one on the side of the road. some bimbo was under the hood dumping some kind of fluid into it.
>>
You could have a mechanic look at it. Pre-puchase inspection.

Planning on that.
Just wondering if in general it sounds like an ok buy.

I have an itch to replace the old girl because now that more than a bit of auto enthusiasm has awakened in me I don’t know if I can live with the understeer and weight balance. The poor fronts tires are doing everything.

These thing use lots of oil

The body has good antirust
Interieur is very nice and copied by mazda and lots of other brands.

On buying i would make sure they replace the tranny fluid if its an automatic

I helped a guy push a TT to the side of the road after it quit at a stoplight.

Not sure how I feel about going from one of the most reliable cars on the planet to… not.

It’s a manual

then just....don't?
Why do you want to switch to an Audi in the first place?
There are other cars that give you more bang for your back, even if it's in the sub-20k range

The Audi can take a corner.

Such as?

It would be a very nice car, especially with a manual, but I just think the price is too high for that mileage. You're going to need to spend serious money on keeping it running, none of which you're going to get back in valuation for the car. Without even driving it, I can guess the mounts are probably shot and haven't been replaced because most of them are like that. That means it'll have an annoying vibration at idle and make it hard to tell if there's anything else wrong with how it's running. And that would be the least of your worries. As someone who also once bought a similar-mileage Audi of this same platform to daily, I would say: don't.

Wrong on both counts.

You could buy this insted? I will give you a good deal.

way too much money for a B8. it's going to be burning crazy amounts of oil too, like a quart every 250 miles. you'll be putting oil in it more often than gas.

>used audi with over 125k miles
wouldn't take that for 5k let alone 13k, it's not even a RS or good audi

Hopped up doesn't mean good. I test drove a RS5 and it was hot garbage.
