I'm getting real sick of this shit. I need to discourage driving on my lawn but the city says I can't build a fence because they want a "vision triangle." It's kind of a rough neighborhood. Any suggestions?
>>
Get some nails, paint them brown or green and throw them on there
>>
>>28603605
3ft high cinder block wall.
>>
Stick rebars to the ground.
>>
Dig out 3ft by 3 ft behind the kerb.
>>
>>28603605
Get a nice decorative boulder and drop it there. Problem solved.

Actually this would work great. Even easier than than the cinder block wall and more robust. A couple boulders on the lawn and good luck to any faggots who can't drive.
>>
>>28603618
>>28603621
Anything that creates a hazard ends up as OP's homeowners insurance making a payout and jacking his rates or dropping him. Same with all the suggestions of caltrops and nails.
What OP needs is something that's safe to drive over, but *looks* unsafe, or is just very annoying to drive over.
2-foot hedge, for example, but that requires maintenance.

>>28603627

OP is not liable for people crashing into his lawn. In terms of insurance, driver will be 100% at fault.

A reflective driveway marker paired with a couple 3-5 foot boulders should be just fine. Disregard fags like >>28603633, large boulders are incredibly obvious to a non-drugged driver and any remotely reasonable insurance provider would ask why the driver decided to drive over the curb, onto the grass, and into a huge rock

>>28603660
If you want to deter people from driving across your lawn, then you'll have to add an obstacle that's big enough to be easily noticed and enough of a hazard to mess up their car if driven over. A large boulder is the most effective way to satisfy both criteria without making the lawn significantly uglier.
To address your point, any obstacle that could mess up someone's car would land you in the exact same situation as a boulder. Unless you opt for a lethal solution e.g. >>28603637
If the local populace is evil enough to try fucking up your house after fucking up their own car, then you should get a security camera + firearms or move out of an obviously crime-ridden area
>>
Someone post that compilation of people getting stuck on a boulder

>>
>>28603656
Better yet, just buy a pack of American flags and line them along the curb in the dirt

>>

>>
>>28603684

>>
>>28603605
buy a few bags of quick creet and just raise the height of the curb with a quick and dirty with two 2x4s as a form.
>>
>>28603641
Did you not notice that one of those is a dually backing over the grass? A fucking marker isn't going to do shit it's just lazy probably Indian delivery drivers who don't care or angry truckoids who don't care. People will drive over anything they can to avoid having to make an extra point in their turn. Of course the Indians will just drive into a fucking rock too.

Honestly there's no answer besides don't have a corner lot, here not only do people use the sidewalk for their lazy fuck u-turns, in the winter they will drive 3' into the snow bank until it gets high enough to be like a wall.
>>
>>28603686
Two white men moved into a house across the street a few months ago, so that's a start.
>>
>>28603702
An F-150 has 8-9 inches of ground clearance. The specialized off-road Raptor has 12-13 inches of clearance.
OP can install a boulder that's 18" higher than the curb. Short of a custom lift kit and carefully driving just the tire over the boulder, that'll stop any car.

As for the rest, I think the price of installing a boulder is worth fucking up extremely negligent drivers' cars especially if they'd just be fucking up your lawn otherwise.
>>
>>28603646
that’s fine, most cars have 5-8” of ground clearance. 18” will destroy them.
>>
>>28603627
Pic shown is from a heavy truck, they wont give a shit about something that "looks" unsafe. Those pajeets will plow right over it.

Even with a fuckhuge lift, the front and rear axles don't get any higher. If you don't carefully crawl over a 12+ inch boulder with one tire then your front axle is gone. Yeah TTBs exist but stopped being produced almost 30 years ago.

The only place you are going to find 8-9" is the point under the center of the rear differential housing. It's literally the lowest point of the truck that isn't a wheel, and "ground clearance" is in reality "minimal ground clearance". Everywhere else under the same axle it's going to be higher, almost as high as half the wheel (about 32") height minus several inches. And there are no front solid axles anymore on half ton trucks and SUVs meaning you won't find anything as low as 8" anywhere else besides that single point in the rear.
>fuckhuge lift
won't do anything, at least not directly. You need bigger wheels.

Boomer neighbor of mine pounded big pieces of rebar into the tall grass on the side of the road where people were constantly parking and leaving their cars. Curiously, the people stopped parking on the grass, and the county came out and installed a bunch of no parking signs after that.

>>
>>28603605
Caltrops. You can make them. Not nails because they're not guaranteed to penetrate. You might have to figure something out since the grass is soft and the caltrops might sink without puncturing. Small boards with nails on them sticking up would do it. At least if they fuck up your lawn they have to go buy a new $50-100 tire.

Or be a fag and plant a tree/put up fence

You could also bitch at the city to come put a real curb up. Or make one yourself, something that would break axles if driven over. Even some bricks would work.
>>
Get a webcam and dig a hole not a big pool size but just big enough for a car to get stuck in and perhaps water the lawn a bit. Upload it "caught another one" watching tards trying to get their car out of the mud is always funny and you might earn a bit of gas money.
>>
just dig a pit there and cover it up with astro turf
>>
a short campaign poster which is long enough for the entire curb or a series of small signs
there are laws against removing or damaging them when they are on private property
the rebar option mentioned earlier can also be used in tandem, instead of using normal ground stakes

>>
>>28603605
Do these fuckers not exist where you live? They also make some that are little hemispheres. They have a piece of rebar sticking out of the bottom that fixes them in the ground and exist to keep people from cutting corners like that or parking on your yard. I have them along the road near my front gate to keep delivery trucks from parking on the edge of my grass and getting stuck in the ditch, which happened a couple of times over the years.
>>
Guy in my area has a 90 turn. Drunkies like to hit it too hard and smash his fence. Installed a rebar fence and any time someone hits it be puts up a cutout of the Kool-Aid man so everyone knows.
>>
>>28603660
Jesus Christ, is that why they use those all over curbs here? I thought it was purely for decoration, but good God, how do you keep hitting a 3 foot tall rock?
>>
>>28605238
>rebar fence
A what? Is it like a regular fence but made with rebar instead of wire?

A local who had trouble with people taking down his wood fence to go 4 wheeling and stuff on his property rented some ditching equipment and just dug a ditch down the fence line. It was way cheaper than running a new, sturdier fence, and you'd need a monster truck or a bridge to get across it because it's so deep.
>>
>>28603646

You cannot do anything if that is located in the clearance easement part of the land in your front yard. That depends on the state though. In my state, I cannot Fence off the easement or block it with a solid wall. I can put plants on it such as a flower bed or lawn but if I do so, then I am obligated to maintain it or remove it. If I remove it, I must return the land to native vegetation.

I also occupy a curved curbless corner like you do. My solution was to put up a decorative 2 foot tall narrow hedge and keep it trimmed. That has stopped cars from shortcutting across the property.

In my long experience twinks are usually only catty/petty with other twinks (and to a less extent women). What Jean Genet called the territoriality of pretty feminine young men where feigned detente hides wanting to claw each other's eyes out.

Twinks trade bitchy crossfire but someone who can clean and press the bodyweight of multiple twinks won't suffer kind of "who is she" stuff.

It's that way in many states. So you need to read the existing city ordinance for yourself to determine WHAT IS ALLOWED. If you simply talk to an uncooperative city employee, they might just automatically tell you "NO" even if you ask about planting a 2 foot hedge that blocks no vision.

Even better if that boulder flips cars like >>28605600 does. The boulder needs to slope and be about 1/2-2/3 of the beltline height of a crossover. If you need to flip a box truck, you'll want around the higher end, which means about 20"-30" height. That's a heavy rock, so it'll naturally sink as time passes.
