You do OWN your car, right? Don't tell me you're paying the bank every month for your own property.
>>
>>28620927
Of course, cash in full is the only way to play.

I WILL own everything and I WILL be happy.
>>
>I paid cash so I own it!
>I have a clear title so I own it!
Even if you hold the Title (i.e. you are "entitled" to the vehicle) the State still owns the vehicle's Certificate of Origin (the vehicle's "birth certificate") and thus is the true owner. This is why they can pull over and fine and tow "your" vehicle without your consent.

People will cry "but sovereign citizenship is retarded!" but they won't say it's incorrect.
>>
>>28620956
>Certificate of Origin
Bruh, when you buy a car, you get the MCO.
>>
>>28620977
If buying a new car, your dealer is legally obligated to submit it to the State on your behalf
>>
>>28620980
It's given to the owner bruh.
Idk what cuck fantasy you have about this.
>>
>buy car in cash
>value drops immediately
>lose money overall
vs
>take same amount of cash
>invest it
>make more per month off it than you lose in car payments
>finish paying off vehicle with more money than you started with

Almost 40, in my 6th car, and I have no credit score to this day. It'll probably bite me in the ass someday.
Paid in cash, babby.
>>
>>28620927
No, it made no sense to. First car was 1.3%, total cost of borrowing was $300. Second car is 3%, total cost of borrowing will be $3000. Meanwhile investments are going up like 3% per month and have been for the last 15 years. It was stupid of me not to invest my FIAT jew dollars earlier.
>>
>>28621218
Spy is +20% past year, +12% ytd. You're still making money but it's not as much.
>>
>>28621235
Actually I should add that it was stupid of me not to lease my second car, would have saved me thousands of dollars in taxes that I'll never get back and I could dump it for a new toy next year which I'm probably going to do anyways.
>>
Nah, shit ain’t worth it.
My Golf 8 R leasebait is cheap as fuck (250 eurobux a month)

Nigga quit playing like you're investin
>>
>>28621334
Even if you put the money into mutual funds you would've come out significantly ahead vs paying cash.
>>
>>28621205
you have no guarantee of your investments outperforming your loan.
but you should still take out a loan on a car, as it can help you negotiate into a better deal, then just pay it off immediately as though you were buying in cash.
>>
>>28621342
Barring an insane market crash and/or garbage credit, even a basic strategy like DCAing into VOO/SPY will net you returns higher than the APR on your car. Even if a crash happens, the market invariably rebounds within a couple months, and if you play your cards right you can just buy the dip and make more than what you lost.
>>
>>28620927
Wealthy people use low interest loans to their advantage. It's smart. I like paying in cash because I'm a dumbass retard.
>>
my car was 7% we paid if off a few months after we bought it. wife's car was 2.9% we'll make the payments as long as high yield savings rate is better.
>>
I am so sick of owning old shit. I thought I was a good mechanic. I AM NOT
>>
I own all 3 of them

>>28621910
Just buy another one, it's not that deep
>>
>>28621348
The market has crashed and taken years to recover in the past, I don't know why you wsb retards pretend that couldn't happen to you. You only invest if you can afford to not touch that money for 20+ years.
>>
Sorry if this is a stupid question but lets say you pay 30-40k for a vehicle in cash. Do you make an appointment at the bank to get that much? Like do you have to wait a few days for them to have it or they just have that on hand? You just put it in a briefcase or something and hand it to the car dealership?
>>
>>28621978
In ye olde days you'd use a cashier check, nowadays it's usually an instant wire transfer, which depending on the bank might be capped at a certain amount and you might need to call the bank to perform a transfer over the limit.
>>
>>28621978
you get one of those bags with a big money sign on it

sometimes I visualize my family all dying and being replaced by life-size money bags
>>

my sister bought a car in cash once and had to sign a shitload of forms saying it wasnt for money laundering or something like that lol
>>
>>28621978
You go to bank and get a cashier's check. Wire still takes time.

Ya i have vehicle titles.

I pay the bank because my portfolio has higher interest than their loans

I invested 30k instead of paying cash for a car and my 1-year performance is more than 3x my loan APR
Debt-free is code for "poor money management ability" and that's ok for a lot of people, it'll keep them out of trouble. In the meantime I'll make more money faster through time in market
>>
>>28622812
line go up bro
>>
>>28622812
The jews take their money regardless, that's why line keeps going up. The only thing you can do is try to keep going up or get poorer by doing nothing. A correction will happen and line might dip for a few years, but the long term trend is that line will keep going up because the government cannot reduce spending at least not until the boomers are all dead and they have to keep printing money to fund their operations.

I bought my first car that I couldn't actually afford recently and instead of financing it I asked my parents to give me a loan. We Jews pay 0% interest while you dumb goyim get stuck in compound interest debt slavery. Your boomer parents likely have money and wouldn't mind giving you a small loan that you pay back in a reasonable amount of time. But you really shouldn't buy shit you can't afford to pay cash upfront with. If that's a $5k shitbox, that's all you can afford for now. Much cheaper to register and insure too. I'm never taking out a "loan" again because I didn't factor in the registration and insurance costs, theyre through the fucking roof oy vey!

What difference does it make to me? How does it affect my ownership experience of the car? What exactly changes after the final payment is made and the title is mailed to me?

You have to keep track of yet another bullshit piece of paper
>>
Cars paid off, only getting raped by mortgage and student loan debt and food prices increasing more than salary by a lot.
>>
I own 3. This enrages and confuses the jew.
>>

>student loan debt
Want to know how fucked-up it gets?
My parents were military so I got a 100% free ride through an expensive af private uni through the GI bill. I feel bad about it sometimes, because that really isn't fair.

Others fortune doesn't bother me, only my own misfortune. Landed a job where I don't use my degree to boot. That seems like a strange thing to spend tax money on, I'd feel pretty pissed about it if I were american. Good for you in this case.
>>
>>28621978
You write a personal check and then laugh at the dealer who thinks that the check won't clear. Paying for high ticket items with checks without flinching is one of the funniest things you can do. Cut a check for my shitbox and the finance guy asked who I was that could afford $6k out of pocket. My opinion of fellow humans dropped many points that day

Spaxx is 3.98% and you can use it for checking/DD/brokerage shit. There is 0 use case for a hysa. Leave couple thousand at a local bank for emergencies then put the rest in a brokerage money market account and learn to actually invest.

Don't feel bad, new Soldiers pay $100 a month for a year and this manages to completely fund the GI bill since most people never use it.
>>
>>28624389
I bought a Kawasaki Z900RS a couple weeks ago, the finance guy's eyes about popped out of his head when I pulled a $10k bank strap of $100s out of my shirt pocket. It was like he'd never seen cash before. Then he had to get the dealerships owner to break a $100 put of his wallet since he didn't have enough change in his drawer.

But anon, sovereign citizenship is retarded
The freak behind the wheel claiming to just be "traveling" and not "driving" will just get yanked out of the car by the cop
