On mine I get to do the following:>1.) Power window: $500 for regulator, motor, and labor (one side)>2.) Window washer fluid tank: $100 + labor>3.) May as well replace plastic coolant tank too to be safe - $150 + labor>4.) Steering issues: tie rods, tie rod ends, steering rack: $500ish in parts plus around $300 in labor probably to replace it all. >pic unrel

Had to air up rear tires twice in one week. Also found out from YouTube that modern drive belts don’t crack, they just wear down like a tire, so I need to properly check mine. I was surprised it wasn’t cracking at all last I checked it.
flat tire and the wheel is rusted onhaven't gotten it off yet
>>28625060>What went wrong on your car this week?almost exactly 24 hours ago
>>28625060>What went wrong on your car this week?Blown strut. No big deal. I'll just do another replacement.
>>28625085>the wheel is rusted onJust kick it hard when it's in the air.
Got a soft pedal and weak brakes on my truck this morning. At first I thought it might've been the master cylinder but I checked it after it got lighter outside and one of the rear wheels looked like someone made spin art with brake fluid using my tire as the canvas. Hosed it off and reluctantly ordered new parts.I've been watching videos of drum brakes for a while now because I hate drums and I'd been putting it off. I wish it had been the MC.
>>28625060I removed and cleaned the filter inside the power steering pump reservoir. Then flushed all fluids. Also fixed a spring I had put in wrong in the 4x4 shifter. Oopsie And got a new radio. Major upgrade to my 90s tape deck. Not as cool thoNext up will be a dipsitck tube o-ring.
>>28625245The rear drums on my 80s Chevy van are fucked in every possible way and the only thing that saves me from having to do them is the pinion bearings also being fucked so I guess I'm just doing the whole rear axle :)
>>28625060Shits been pissing power steering fluid for months. Gotta drop the subframe to replace the rack so I might as well do control arms, struts, engine mounts, etc. while I'm at it.Little overwhelming, but I don't want to pull the subframe more than I have to.
>>28625267>everything is so fucked that it's cheaper to replace assemblies than replace parts individuallyReminds me of a long-distant memory of the army. That godforsaken truck is probably scrap metal in Ukraine, and good riddance.
Scraped the skid plate yet again
>>28625060I bent the metal taking the rivers out of the fuel door.
>>28625287may as well do power steering pump while you’re in there? And bushings if you’re taking apart the subframe…I forgot I have a leak from my power steering pump so I’m replacing that $5 hose and putting on the correct clamps. PS fluid looks fine, no metal shavings or anything in the strainer so I don’t want to replace the pump ($250) if I don’t have to, but feel like I should
P0420.

>>28625104You let a woman park it?
>>28625060Car A, did struts, the knuckle decided to go its own way and flopped outward while I was installing the strut despite being supported by a jack. Tore the inboard CV boot wide open. Now i get to do axles!AC went out on car B - compressor engages briefly but no fan. Diagnosed the problem with a meter. Blower transistor failed. Removed it, took it apart, cleaned it, replaced the thermal fuse which had blown on a cold evening. Works fine now.Car A is currently being set up for an engine swap, ECU setup is taking longer than anticipated.>>28625541same bro. thrashed it a bit on the backroads and it went away
