Will Nissan bring back the Silvia or any entry level sports car ever again?
And no the Z doesn't count since it is a grand tourer.
>>
>>28626220
No. It's all about cuckovers, vans and suvs now.

>Will Nissan bring back the Silvia
I wish the Japanese never forgot to make "romance cars" (their terminology). There will always be young people- they used to make such dangerous and exciting machines in the 90s. I miss my 180SX every day. I also miss the beautiful girls that kind of car attracted too when I was in college. Video related

>Swap out transmission (many have manuals already)
>Reverse engine + transmission (FF -> RR)
>Tune suspension a bit
Voila, a sub-20k sporty RR car

>There will always be young people
young people haven't had any money since clinton administration, and current young blood barely has enough to cover their own food while living in mother's basement. it's like asking why new york stopped building skyscrapers in the 30s, nobody had any FUCKING money for vanity until the 50s, and the ones who do would rather multiply it by turning everything they see into currency than spend it on depreciating assets.

Nissan basically destroyed the small car modding scene with their shitty sr20 engine. They filled a vacuum but they filled it with something shitty. I stopped going to car shows in the early 2000s because everything was a gay SR swap.
>>
>>28626253
Better than everything being ls swapped
>>
>>28626256
Its the same fucking thing. All the jap cars were SR swapped and everything else was LS swapped. The LS and the SR killed car culture

nice projection. We got money- why do you think the term "brokie" became popular as of recent? Many just forgot what nice cars are now. Most just buy a newer Korean car like the Hyundai N these days because they dont know any better.
>>28626253
>Nissan basically destroyed the small car modding scene with their shitty sr20 engine.
you went to lame ones then because the scene I was around- people were using RB20, RB25 and 26 for drifting. Around 2014 era was when people started copying Formula Drift so >>28626256 LS1 engines became the norm. These days, the car shows and meets are even cooler; atleast the modified ones. The quality of this generation of tuning is not like in the years past.

>And no the Z doesn't count since it is a grand tourer.
It doesn't have back seats. It's a sports car (though not a great one, considering the base model doesn't have LSD). The Silvia was more of a GT since it was a 2+2.
>But what about the 300zx 2+2
That was 30 years ago and it was also a GT.
>>28626240
It's not even close to that simple. Besides that, the Versa fucking blows and nobody wants any part of it.
>>
>>28626263
>"brokie"
Product of flex culture, which is a product of attention addicts, which is a product of social media. Nobody but hypebeasts with zero fiscal intelligence and their "influencers" uses the term unironically.
As for the rest of your post, I agree - it seems like anti-ricer sentiment has been in the modding scene enough for most people with a few thousand dollars to start focusing on internals and other functuonal mods. There are still some FnF-obsessed retards who think a bodykit+stickers is cool but they've died down significantly

that French fag really did a number on Nissan. The Silvia is such an iconic brand over the decades, they should go back to basics. The new Z was cool- but its still expensive compared to what position the Silvia held in consumer market. It made such an impact, the S15 is still popular today

Something like the 86 should've been what Nissan made to replace the silvia. Except with a better I4 engine and a turbo option.
