Why don't manufacturers just offer upgrade wheels in the same size? Why do they always have to be bigger to ruin the ride and mileage? It's not like you get bigger brakes with them.

Or just stop being retarded and buying overpriced cast wheels from manufacturers. If you're not getting the base wheels and going forged aftermarket then you were dropped as a child.
>>
>>28628576
Why don't you just go buy your own wheels in whatever size and style you like? You know you're not just limited to what they offer through the dealer, right?

Not OP but my Tesla has aftermarket forged wheels. Not because it's cool but because the car is fuck heavy and the stock ones break lmao

Yeah stock Tesla wheels are cast. Tiny 35 sidewall, heavy car, pot hole, they die pretty quick.

Daly reminder:
Big wheels make your car slower

this
steel wheels also give you more downforce
>>
>>28628883
went from 235/40R19s to 215/60R16s on my camry
aside from the extremely comfy ride and potholes now becoming a trivial issue, the car's fuel economy calculator averaged about 10.5-11 L/100km, now that's gone down to around 9.5
the car also feels quicker to take off too.
>>
>>28628883
Bigger wheels are to fit bigger brakes.
>>
>>28628576
because it's what customers want
might not be your case but most peoples do want bigger flashier wheels if they are going to pay more
>>
they used to but they jew everything down to the bare minimum now
>>
>>28628895
The steelies for my car are actually the lightest set that will fit the stock lug pattern. The roads here are terrible too so its a win win
>>
>>28628905
your speedo is off unless you had the ecu adjusted . Less rotational mass on the smaller wheels so it should feel quicker than it was.
>>
>>28628576
how do you sell same-sized wheel to a normalfag tho? unless the default wheel is a steelie, they understand that it's low class and will switch it up for alloys, but if you offer, say, a lighter wheel for $500 more and it looks the same to them, you'll sell three sets. big monkey like big wheel, give big monkey big wheel.

used the speedo calculator at tiresize.com - it's only marginally faster than my actual speed. like one decimal point off. with the 19s, my speedo was already reading several km slower than my true speed so now i have a slightly bigger margin of error/buffer zone.
the most accurate size would've been 205/65R16s but they didn't have the specific pattern i was after

So buy it with the cheapest wheel option they offer
and replace them with aftermarket ones. Most factory upgrade wheels are ugly as fuck anyway and afttermarket wheel options are virtually endless.
