Hey guys just bought my first car it's a 2006 Civic Coupe that I got off marketplace.People have been telling me that this is a very common stolen car that I need to be careful. What security measure can I put in to make my car theft proof? My mom told me to buy a kill switch but I've heard that thieves know how to bypass it very easily.
As far as I’m aware the 00’s weren’t particularly easy to steal. Although the 90’s ones certainly were.t. had a ‘95 Integra stolen
pop da hood and grab a fuse out of the ecu
A friend used to have battery disconecctors under the drivers seat. Not sure how bad it would be to use in new cars but it sure as hell got nopety nope from a car without it connected.

>>28640417>What security measure can I put in to make my car theft proof?Kill switch that bridges your battery. Really easy to install. You can have it either be a literal switch or it can be a simple key. Place it somewhere urban youths won't notice it.Either that, or pop your hood every time you park it and disconnect the negative.Be aware this only prevents your car from being stolen. It won't stop an urban youth from breaking in.

>>28640417Commonly stolen cars are just numerous and in low income environments. That doesn't apply to you it'll be fine.

>>28641712I mean yeah; but how many hoodlums are carrying fuses? How many of them would think to check the fuse box? How many of them are smart enough to even think of it?
>He doesn't have a private security detail of 4-6 salaried guards watching his car 24/7HAHAHAHA, poorfags!-----OP, kill switch is fine, you can put it somewhere hidden and no matter what else they do it's not going to start. As someone mentioned above, 90s Hondas were stolen like crazy so they put more into security in the '00s.Not much will prevent picrel though.
