I'm on my 2nd Pentastar 6-spd Wrangler. I'm shocked it has only been offered in manual with the Wrangler. It's really nice in the midrange (3-5k rpm), not so much down low where automatics hang out. A 6-spd Pentastar Chally-Wally would've been great for the price.

As for the engine, someone made a post 6 years ago on plebbit claiming they were trying to do exactly that, but i don't imagine they got very far because i can't find any other info or anybody else attempting it. it might be more of a packaging thing than practicality. the ls1 is kind of a squat motor and you can see how tall it made the cowling on that one. the pstar is a 60-degree and is much taller than the hemi when placed in the same car, so i can't imagine how you could fit a pstar into that ls1 plane without some part of the engine sticking out of the cowling. that said it's lighter than the ls1 by over 100 lbs and would probably make a fine airplane engine.
