>you buy a used car>discover it has a crack in the windshield but buy it anyway>when you have the car inspected they say you have to change the windshield for the next inspection>time passes, drive with cracked windshield>get insurance for the car>more time passes, drive with cracked windshield>time for new inspection>take the car to glass workshop>"when did the damage happen?">"it was there when I bought it">"then you'll have to pay for all of it yourself, otherwise it's fraud" ... "but we can write the cause as this chip here"What is the right thing to do in this situation? I think they haven't contacted my insurance company yet so I still have time to make the right decision, I think...I walked in there expecting to have to pay for all of it myself and was ready to do that. I don't think I thought of this scenario. I have a booked time but we're going to fill in the papers when I come.
>>28641889It is morally just to lie to insurance kikes.
>>28641889What's there to deliberate? If your windshield repair guy is willing to help you out then take his offer. Just make sure he's not an undercover insurance agent first
>buy gloves>buy sledgehammer>put on gloves>take sledgehammer>smash window>gift hammer to negroid, turkroach, chink, etc.>call police>blame negroid, turkroach, chink, etc. on window smash>call insurance>tell them about it>????????????>profit
I can't imagine living somewhere with vehicle inspections. cucked beyond belief.
>>28641910Lack of inspections is a large part of what drives those insurance costs up so much. Most humans will not behave correctly without active guidance, and will drive around in terrible shitboxes that pose a danger to everyone around them. A civilized, developed society has mechanisms that prevent it from turning into a turd world shithole; vehicle inspections are one of them.
What the fuck? What are you afraid the universe is going to punish you for lying or something? Its actually the opposite.
>>28641889>>when you have the car inspectedSorry, I don't live in a shithole state so I don't have this problem
>>28641889>What is the right thing to do in this situation?lie
>>28641889>I walked in there expecting to have to pay for all of it myself and was ready to do thatso just do this?
>>28641889>committing insurance fraud over a windshieldLol
They want insurance to cover it because they can squeeze the price.
Insurance will fuck you over every chance they get, so you are obligated to try and fuck them over every chance you get as well...
>>28642198(same reason hospitals don't like self-pay customers)
>>28641889I bought a car with a cracked winshield, I told the owner to make it good and I'd pay his price.I flew sideways into a tree a month later.
>>28642200Free at point of service.
First of all putting a small expense like this on your insurance is one of the lowest iq moves you could make. Your premiums will go up over it and you'll pay them more in the long run. Also you'll be marked as a high risk driver which will increase your costs across all insurance providers when you go to renew. Insurance is meant for big BIG costs, not little shit. People wonder why their monthlies are $300+ when they make claims on the smallest of shit.
>>28642204skill issue
>>28642216Flying is not a deal I thought about. :)
>>28642198Elaborate. Are they trying to deceive me?
>>28642210Yeah having a stone hit your windshield is high risk driving
>>28642225>Elaborateyou pay>that'll be $500 please>no way man, I'll take it somewhere else and they'll do it for $300insurance pays>hey insurance, we did the job. it cost $500
>>28642232Low iq driver spotted. Literally any claim you make on insurance puts you at high risk. Are you people fucking underage? This is common knowledge.
>>28642239Fuck off
>>28642247Enjoy paying more for the next 5 years while thinking you're getting back at them lmao
>>28642257I didn't say anything about having that position, nor is that why I told you to fuck off. I'm telling you to fuck off because you're an asshole and you can't give an opinion without calling others dumb etc. Fuck off and grow up.
>>28641889>>28641900Won't they just raise your rates if you make a claim...?
i just dont pay for insurance, shits probably saved me thousands of dollars.
>>28642232It's a high risk of you actually using your insurance and them having to pay money, not necessarily a high risk of an accident. That's all high risk means
>>28642376Dumbass
>>28641889Jesus christ it must suck to be a poorfag.I wont even green text how many times I've gotten a cracked windshield. You know what I did? REPLACED THE FUCKING WINDSHIELD.The same faggots that will complain about the price have netflix and xbox360 accounts.
>>28642239Most insurance companies treat windshield replacements differently from other claims because its so common. Obviously if you're constantly making claims for new windshields they'll flag you but one is unlikely to affect anything.
>>28641889>>28641910>I can't imagine living somewhere with vehicle inspections.probably some shit place like Australia- where a minor infraction will not legally allow you to operate your own machine>28641922>Marxist cope nonsense about kissing bootshut up faggotjust buy a new windshield brokie OP- even niggers know how to get it fixed
>>28643513I already said that I have no problem paying for all of it myself. Learn to read fuckwit.
>>28641922you stay that but even in countries with yearly inspections, their auto insurance is still higher than in the USA.
>>28642350That's the neat part, they always raise your rate.
>>28641889>when you have the car inspectedWhen I what?
>>28641889>What is the right thing to do in this situation? You go to the most rural shop you can find that does inspections. Its a high chance jimbob will just take your money and tell you you passed.
>>28641889Glass companies and auto shops are fine with that. They know the insurance company is gonna screw you sideways. Just go with it, because sooner or later, you'll get raped by the insurance company anyway on some other situation.
>>28641922the australian govt commissioned a study into the effectiveness of regular vehicle inspections and they found that there was no real difference between states that had and didn't have yearly inspections. Driver behaviour and skill were the biggest influences (duh).
