looking at relatively inexpensive sedans and I came across a couple of these fuckers. I have never driven a BMW (noted for reference, bc idgaf if it's a fake bmw) and just need a shitbox that isn't ancient or rusty, but I've hated every corolla and civic I've sat in, and most other options seem like piles or slow pieces of shit

pros
>sedan
>reasonable price
>excellent engine (for a 4 popper)
>faster than most alternatives
>awd to appease wife for "safety in the winter"
>nice build quality and handling against alternatives
>not a wrenchlet so I don't care about maintenance that much

cons
>still fwd, but everything is at this price point/model year
>still a 4 banger
>bmw insurance tax, which is gay for this model
>debatable in the looks department

talk me in or out of the 228i as a dd. any known issues or planned large maintenance with these things?
