Sedans are irrelevant in today's age. Station wagons were reborn as SUVs and people just keep wanting to buy them. The people want a 2-box design in some form. It is peak performance in its various forms.
>supermini/hatchback
>wagon/crossover/suv
>minivan/van
Only major exception are pickup trucks, for similar, but different reasons.

Honestly it's surprising Lexus makes any vehicles at all. I can't believe there are so many people out there that wake up one day and think "y'know what I'm going to spend $70k on a new RX350"

SUVs are just the final evolution of the practical family car. They do everything a station wagon, sedan, or minivan can do, while being safer, more spacious, and more generally capable.
Station wagons are dead, minivans are dying, and sedans are only hanging on because civics and corollas are the only thing millenials can afford new. It's time to let go.
