There is no legitimate reason to drive a manual in 2025. You're just a broke brown person trying to larp as a race driver.
>manual was the only transmission option for the top trimSure thing retard.
I enjoy driving, you don't. We are not the same.
>>28647000Ricer
>>28647008Shifting is boring, pointless busywork. Automatic transmissions save you the trouble while keeping all the actually enjoyable parts of driving intact. This is like saying you don't *really* enjoy cooking unless you enjoy waiting in line at the supermarket to buy your ingredients.
>>28647014What's the traffic like where you live?
>>28647014>This is like saying you don't *really* enjoy cooking unless you enjoy waiting in line at the supermarket to buy your ingredientsShifting would be more like preparing your own mise en place vs buying pre-chopped ingredients. Your premise is dumb
>>28647000>auto-only goodLet me guess, McDonald's struts are okay too lmao
>me, a ZF8 enjoyer
I can understand a slow but small and fun car like a miata or a brz. Maybe a modern V8 na too but it's rare, like what, that's just the corvette? Though a modern turbo petrol manual is some weird cope. Getting gapped by a zoomer in a clapped old auto 335i who just mashes the gas pedal.
sounds like a >>28647014 problemi only think about shifting when im having fun behind the wheel. if it's congested i dont think about it at all, it's second nature and even then i just default to the game of seeing how long i can coast along without ever touching the brake

I don't really care what anyone thinks.I drive an EV van at work that can blast most bikes off the line.I drive a stupid manual diesel that gets 51mpg avg on the freeway.I ride a stupid late 90's bike that gets 35mpg avg and makes me smile no matter what.I drive a shitty manual 1990 i4 car that gets terrible mileage, 25mpg at best on stock tune that makes me smile every time I WOT into the apex hard enough to lose speed, the 1.5 mechanical diff with clutch plates keeps the road legal semi slicks with 80 treadwear rubber firmly planted.I loathe having to drive slushboxes though. Stomp on the gas and it sends a postcard to the gear-changing office for permission to downshift over 5-7 working days that ends up being signed as authority to leave. All in all, 3/10, I replied.
Being in a huge traffic jam with a manual, im talking 4 hours of waiting, was a bottom 10 experience for me. The constant shifting for every fucking inch. Torture
>>28647000Automatics were made for women. It’s time for your sex change, twinky.
>>28647108That doesn’t happen every day. Traffic with autos are annoying too.
>>28647000I daily a v8 manual for work stay mad busrider
>>28647112Traffic in an auto means you wear through brake pads/rotors every 6 months or less because you are constantly on the brake
>>28647000Shit bait m8
>>28647108So leave a huge fucking buffer and tick along at idle. Unless you're retarded?I get the odd honker or ricer overtake doing such, but a vast, vast majority of the time my fellow lemming is happy to ride my ass while I chitty chitty bang bang at a constant rate of speed. It's even more obvious when the person behind me is also in a manual, matching my rate of knots.
>>28647014>Automatic transmissions save you the troubleYou know what saves you even more trouble?>>28647028Idk if Clarkson actually does enjoy the zf8, I suspect he does not, but if so it's because he's old and been on the sauce for decades.>>28647049Simple as
>>28647175Clarkson was openly never a fan of "flappy paddle" stuff before the ZF8 debuted but I never heard him whinge about that particular gearbox when it was in BMWs he drove.
>>28647175I spent a full 6 months looking to get a manual because auto tragic mustangs are gay
>>28647128just shift to neutral
>>28647000A good old manual is cheaper than a good old auto.
>>28647248Which requires even more application of the brake pedal because you're missing out on engine braking
>gives you all the fun of a manual transmission (because it is a manual transmission)>but no need to mess with the clutch at low speed or to shift gears>don't want to use it? disable it with a button press, or it disables automatically when you use the clutchWhy don't carfags have this technology?
>>28647469Renault did a "clutchless manual" version of the mk1 Twingo called the Easy, but that had no manual clutch control at all and suffered from >French electronics
>>28647000my truck, car, and motorcycle are all manual. I kinda wish the truck was an automatic but I've had it for 15 years now. It's whatever, just sucks in stop and go traffic.
the vast majority of manual drivers in 2025 are indians and africanswhy does /o/ want to larp as third world browns so much?
>>28647000im whiter than you'll ever be and yes I do larp as a racecar driver
>>28647006>Gt3rs has a manual version
>>28648494The vast majority of transgenders drive automatic why do you want to lap as a woman?
the manual meme is one of the weirdest things that tryhards talk about everwho the fuck cares
>>28648494The vast majority of automatic drivers are Chinese and Indian. Turns out that's most of the world's population dumbass. Stop eating and breathing, why do you want to larp as Ching and Rajesh so bad?
I have a 2005 truck i use for towing and a 2006 5 speed volvo wagon i use to get 35 mpg when not towing. My yearly insurance is less when i have two vehicles registered and insured too. Do the math.
