What clutch materials/brands are you guys running and what are your experiences with them?
>Exedy
>ACT
>ClutchMasters
>SPEC
>Xtreme
>LuK
>organic
>ceramic
>dmf/lightened flywheels
I've only ever had experience with OEM LuK and a "stage" Exedy, both of which were good.
>>
Only time I replaced a clutch was 10 years ago on a 90’s civic. Went with an excedy and lightweight flywheel and was happy, although I think the lightweight flywheel was pointless. All it did was make engine revs drop more when engaging the clutch which made regular driving a bit more annoying.

car revs up alot faster too. can be around a second or more faster

used an exedy organic clutch from rockauto on my cressida, perfect for daily driving and hooning
>>
I'm old driving since 01.

I have used most brands and currently I stand by sport or not Exedy seem to go to for most normie things be it OEM or more.

Before I went twin disk on my Honda I was running Luk but that was cost and all.

First clutch I ever needed/installed was a clutchmasters and really great.

Even my 70+ year old dad runs a light fly, light flys kick ass.

In neutral yeah, but with the clutch engaged it makes no difference.

I have an upgraded ram clutch in my Camaro, upgraded torque capacity and it's only slightly heavier

Exedy in my Rav4. Done 50,000 miles so far. Seems fine.
Didn't pick out the brand, just sorted by cheapest and went for it. Clutch kit was £210 if memory serves me. I know the mechanic charged £500 to fit it (cash in hand). Took him an afternoon, dropped it off at lunch time and picked it up after work at 5:30pm.

Idiot.

LuK is the only OE manufacturer in that list, the rest are junk, which is okay for sub 200hp DD. Lightened flywheels are amazing, just not in a daily, it becomes annoying if you have to do any errands and traffic and shit.

Got a LuK kit for 70 eurobucks when I fried the original clutch in my Twingo, feels breddy gud.

I ordered a full Sachs kit for my Golf, went with the OE one because the Sachs performance kit is double the price.
